Hi Folks - This is new, unchartered territory for me. I'm going to France for a business trip in September and have the opportunity to go to Paris at the end of my trip. I was thinking about spending 2 days touring Paris and 1 day at Disney (how can I go to Paris without going to DLP)? Where do I even start? :confused3

Hi debit34 and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here, DIS posting guidelines can be found here and details regarding help on signatures here

First place to start is have a look at The Very Useful Info sticky at the top of the board :)
Are you looking to stay at DLP or at Paris?

Well, I can't decide where to stay - DLP or Paris. Which would be easier to get to? I was thinking of staying at a hotel at DLP (offsite, I just can't justify the expense for only me and not the rest of the family) and then going to Paris for a day to see the main sites. Or, would it be easier to do the reverse?

I am by no means an expert on ANYTHING french, or Paris or DLP.....
We went to PARIS for 5 days on my DH business trip and we onlywent to the DTD part of DLP. We went in a couple shops and got some gifts and ate dinner.
BUT.........the ride on the metro, was about 45 minutes late in the evening.
So i would suggest, staying in Paris and going out to DLP for the day.
The metro system was very easy to use even for me, who has never used one before even in the states.
JUSt decide what you want to do and enjoy.
I went to montparnasee and had a lovely lunch on my own while Dh was at work, BUT i think the one thing i did that was a not to miss, is NOTRE DAME...OMG!
OUR goal is to go back for a month in about 4 years when we an take our children and they will be old enough to enjoy and understand.

ENJOY YOUR TRIP!

BUT.........the ride on the metro, was about 45 minutes late in the evening.

I'm not sure what you mean here, was the train late? I'm researching as much as I can about the trains, it will definitely be a new experience for me. I've never rode on a train - well, other than at our local zoo and at WDW. LOL! :rotfl: :lmao:
