I mentioned to my DH on Monday that we should just hire a driver to take us to and from LGA (2.5 hour trip) for our DS's birthday surprise trip to Universal. We have a friend whose mentioned a few times that one of her relatives will drive you, in your own car, park it back at your house and then pick you up in it again. DH didn't bother to call for his number. Instead, he called a friend who owns a couple limos!!! party:

The best part is that because it is for our DS' birthday, he is giving us the use of one to get us there and back. :bday: All we have to do is tip the driver well, which we would have done anyway.

So, next Wednesday, when we go to the school to surprise him, not only that he's getting out of school early to go on vacation, he'll go outside and see that we're going in a limo! I can't wait to take his picture in front of that car, in front of the school. I can't wait to see his reaction about the whole trip!

The best thing for me, personally, is that I don't have to drive home when we get home the following Monday night. I can sleep in the car like my passengers would have. :woohoo:

Sounds like this will be a very memorable trip.
Happy birthday to your son.
