Surprise Swap 4~ Completed~

I made "doubles" of a lot of my groups (so I made 12 of an item instead of just 6) so everyone should be able to get one of mine, and a couple if you were in multiple groups.

The tricky think is that I made a set of Monsters characters for the PP groups and for general Disney groups, so making sure that people in the PP groups don't get it again in the Disney groups. So I would look to see who isn't in the PP groups and make sure they get the Monsters in general.

Plus, added difficulty of sorting kids and Moms so they don't duplicate (if that is the goal). I would do those at the same time. So example, tiggermei did 5 groups, and her DD did 1, I would sort out 6 groups. Instead of sorting 5, and then later sort 1.

And my offer still holds of UPS-ing everything up to me, and I'll do it. It's a big math puzzle, and I like those.

OR If I could get pics of everything (so I could see what was handmade, storebought), final tally of groups sent, instructions from those who sent instructions I could figure it out from here.

Yup I'm going to do one swapper at a time to make it easier.

I will start the process on saturday after I get off work. I can get those boxes out that need them sooner and those in smaller groups. I will get as much done as I possibly can.

I'm hoping I can give everyone enough random from everyone. There really isn't alot of store bought items this go round. Amazingly enough.

Everything I've recieved is beautifully created and well done.

I loved your Monsters and Car paper piecings so I would love to have doubles. I got layouts and upcoming trips and autograph books I can use them in. They would not go to waste with me.

I am so sorry that y'all are put off by my circumstances. I know no coments are meant personal and they are not taken that way.

Kat, you are so generous and kind to take a stand as a hostess to wait for me but I just can't delay anything else. I just got home off the road. The PO is closed. I travel all day tomorrow and it isn't open on Saturdays. That means my season swap won't go out until then either.


I'm sorry to do it everyone but for the sake of you all getting your great swaps out on time, don't worry about me. I won't be sending mine in. That way nothng has to be held.

I will use my items for the point swap thing or as RAK's.

Now I am off to Boy Scout camp.

Stop your worrying. You are a wonderful swapper! We completely understand. I know once I get behind it is impossible to catch up. It is best to just cut out something so everything else doesn't fall behind. While I certainly will miss getting your wonderful pieces, I know I have many more to look forward to. Thanks for being up front about it too!

I know it must be very hard for you to step out on this one and I applaud you for being able to do so for everyone else's sake. I'm sure it is a weight off your shoulders to take one thing that in the grand scheme of life is not that important off your list so you can concentrate on all that you need to.

Cool - increased chances of receiving Hope's masterpieces! I am hoping for something flocked on either this or one of the other swaps so I can see how it looks and decide if it is worth the mess (I am a flocking mess without flock )

If you buy flock dont buy the doodlebug stuff. Like Susan mentioned the bottles are ultra tiny. Plus I got mine off ebay today and I am sooo disappointed. The bottles I got are not even filled to the top. Some of mine are half empty. I emailed the seller about this. I am going to try some of the Fun Flock on ebay in one or two colors. I know the bottles are bigger (like 3 times bigger). I needed one color for my item in the Topper and Tag swap.

Guys I am really disappointed in a lot of you right now, you have no idea.

I will get past this and I hope y'all do too but this is not acceptable. I am fairly shaking, I am so upset. Susie can't help the fact that she didn't make the post office today. She works on the road, she can't help that, but y'all have made her and Kat feel like total crap.

I know they have been late and that this swap is super late, we have ALL been late sometime, heck I will be late to my own funeral, but to not have a little more patience, it's just.... I don't know..... the word sad comes to mind.

We have developed a great, amazing community and we have not let the crap of the other forums and boards touch us. We are all in this together (to quote my DD's favorite movie, High School Musical). I would hate to see us lose some of our best and brightest stars, over a timing issue. We have already lost a few of our vets over some previous posts.

I have tried to stay out of this and let y'all hash it out yourselves, but no more. We are here to share our creative efforts, and get support in our Frumpy hobby, from our Frumpy sisters. Why are we turning on each other?

For those that want your stuff now, then Kat will get your things out ASAP, I'm truly sorry you will miss out on Susie's things. for those that are willing to wait for Susie to mail, then I feel sure you will be more than pleased with her work and it will be worth the wait.

Take this as a hand slap, a swift kick in the pants, or a lesson in patience and understanding. Don't hate me because I'm beautiful (yeah right), but this is how I feel. Take or leave it, your mileage may vary, void in Vermont and Connecticut. All sales final, no returns accepted.

I may have a case of my typing is not showing what I mean...it happens easily without emotion in the typing.....so I want to clarify anything that might have upset anyone.

I was not trying to rush Susie or Kat due to waiting for Susie - I was reading Susie's posts as she was choosing not to send them and then Kat offered to swap sooner than later if anyone needed things back. Knowing what Susie is dealing with I would never try to rush her or upset her (Susie so sorry if you took anything wrong). I worked on the road for years and I know how difficult any normal life can be under the best of circumstances. I also am a huge fan of Susie's work and am very sorry to miss out on it if she either doesn't send it or I get swapped without it.

I totally get sending swaps back late due to late receipts - I have just sent my last packages from the quote swap that was due over a month ago. I have stressed about it amongst the real life stuff for weeks but things got in late and then everything shifts from there. It happens. I'm guessing Susie has been in the same position that Kat is currently in and I read her posts as she made a decision that would keep her from worrying herself about trying to get to the post office but maybe I read it wrong and if so I apologize for anything that would have upset her.

I also realize looking at this list of swappers and the enormous number of groups how difficult this is going to be to swap. I do not envy the work that Kat will have to do to get these swapped out and boxed and mailed to everyone.

Hope that clarifies where I was coming from. Certainly didn't mean to offend...

I think someone is flocking on another swap I'm on so on some swap in the near future I will see it or I am going to the trade show at CKC in Valley forge so maybe I'll get to see it in action there.
