Surprise Reveal Video To be Played on Departure Day

I'm afraid that filming their reaction might have them suspect something.
I would hide the camera and use a concealed remote control (and practice a lot before the big reveal day)
'cause if my parents had me sit to watch a home made movie while filming me, I can swear it would have put me on high alert for something unexpected, thus diminishing the impact of the big surprise

Oooor you could do what I do! Film them now doing anything! At first they'll be 'what are you doing?!?' but after a few days it'll be 'oh she's got that camera out again' so wouldn't even blink when you pulled a camera out

I film mine or take pics every day, they're so bored of the camera now lol

Love the video and the idea is fantastic. What I did for my guys 2 years ago, plus DH who also didn't know I had planned it, was to do a treasure hunt first, with directions for each of the children to go find an item. Each item had another clue for the next item. Each of the items ended up being something that they needed to pack. I wasn't creative enough to do a video at the end but did a letter/poem with picture clues which they had to use to guess the final destination.

Nine weeks Saturday and counting!!!!! We have kept the secret for 9 months so we are bursting now to tell them. I am really hopeful to really catch them out on reveal day.

That's exactly what we hope to do. Film lots during the week before saying we are testing camera and it's settings.

Good luck with keeping the secret - I found the last week the hardest as you've got packing to do without them realising - my dd thought I'd been lazy and not doing much washing as her underwear drawer in particular didn't seem to ever have much in it!

Haha! I keep slipping up, but have managed to bring it back so far!

Today I took Charlie's passport form to be signed by a teacher. Didn't even think! They asked why he needed a passport when I picked them up! I just said everyone should have a passport just in case we want to go somewhere one day. They bought it! lol

I made this on Windows Movie Maker. It's quite simple to use. I will be buying Movie Magix 7 which has more editing tools and special effects etc. I am very new to this sort of thing. Good luck yourself.

Thanks for replying Louise! My dh and myself have watched your video 3 times and I end up crying every time, it was so beautiful watching your babies growing up! I hope to make one and keep adding to it for my children xx
