Surprise in the mail today!!!!

I came homw from work today and found a fat package in the mail from WDW! It was cool luggage tags and final papers! I was not expecting these since we are not getting magical express because we are driving. I am very excited!!!!! YEAH! Its getting closer!

I got the same thing last week, I was also surprised at the tags because we are driving too but if I remember in 2003 they sent us the tags and all. Isnt the plastic pouch perfect for keeping all your WDW confirmations, dining plans and notes? I have itenerarys and maps and everything in their now..

Ooooh, ooooh, ooooh....I want mine too. We are driving too. Our trip is in about 60 days so I guess I have another month or so to wait for my "goodies". Oh well...I'll celebrate with you too! Have a fun trip!

Don't mean to steal your thread, but do you just get the goodies if you book a package, or can you get them if you booked room and tickets apart?

I am waiting for my stuff, I hope it comes any day now. I especially hope it comes before my son gets home from camp since this is a surprise trip and I can hide it for my 7 yr, but my 11 yr old has a Disney radar that won't quit. LOL

Just a point of clarification : there are TWO types of luggage tags. One are the ones you get for booking with the WDTC (souvineer), and the others are the ME ones with your resort name on it.

Do these tags come with all packages or are you with a special package? I have a 6 day/night package with dining through disney but never heard anything about this.

To the OP: You received the WDW Travel package. In it you received your "souvenir" luggage tags along with various confirmation stuff. You DID NOT receive "Disney's Magical Express" tags. They come seperately and are bright yellow, bound in a booklet and are not sent out unless you make a DME reservation which, I believe, you haven't if you're driving.

Nonetheless, what you received is still very, very exciting!!

When we went earlier this year we did not recieve anything like that. We had just booked a room and purchased our tickets when we arrived. All we ever got were statements saying what we still owed.

The luggage tags with the castle on them are included in all package reservations ie: 8 digits. Room only reservations do not receive them ie: 12 digit reservation or reservations booked online that begin with an R. They are sent once final pymnt has been made and you are 45 days from arrival. Often referred to as "bag tags."

Well I am glad I'll get something besides my final paperwork! We are traveling via Amtrak and have "new" luggage from the last time we went, so I don't have my WDW luggage tags on them yet. I was waiting to see if and what would come.

So you receive you final stuff 45 days before you travel? 41 more days to wait...... sigh......
