Friday is my birthday...woo-hoo !
Ok, so 40 isn't going to be so bad I know that ... just another day.... so here is my "situation"
My wonderful DH of 11 yrs has put together a surprise b-day party for me...Yes, its a surprise party and I accidentally found out about it....but he doesn't think I know.
The other day he was printing something on the printer in our home office. I say our office but I use it for a home business and he is in it about 10% of the time. Anyway, so he's printing up a bunch of things and he leaves them on the printer. Now, mind you I am a medical transcriptionist and throughout the course of the day I print my office notes. They are usually quite a few in number so when I grabbed a pile of papers off the printer the other day it never dawned on me that some of those papers were his.....
So heres my situation. I said to him "are these yours" (holding the ever so thought-out surprise birthday party invitations that he just printed) and he said - Oh **** - did you read those ? Well, being who I am of course I read them....but I said - "no. all i saw was some colored stuff so I knew they weren't mine". And then I handed them to him hoping he didn't see me lying right through my teeth.
So now Friday is going to come along and I feel bad knowing and I don't really want to ACT surprised. Should I tell him that I know or just go along with it when the day arrives ? I am not sure which is the best thing to do cuz I have a feeling that I won't be able to ACT surprised and then he'll know I knew and wonder why i didn't tell him in the first place......
Oh, well any suggestions? What would you do ? (THANKS for listening to me ramble)
