Surprise Ideas

We got my in-laws tickets to go see Phantom when it comes to town. Now I need ideas on how to surprise them.

I was thinking about putting this inside a card with the tickets:

This will indeed be an unparalleled delight.

Night will unfurl it’s splendour. Let your mind start to journey to a strange new world!

Now order your fine horses, your date awaits you on May 1st 2010 when He will welcome you to his opera house.

Does that sound ok? Does anyone have any of FABULOUS ideas I could steal?

I think that's a fantastic idea! Phantom is my dad's all-time favorite musical-- we're going to see it for the third time in a few weeks for Christmas. I'm sure they'll love the show!
I think the way you worded it was terrific, but if you like to give them something to open, you could get a box and crinkle. You could put the tickets at the bottom of the box, cover the them with crinkle, and then put the little "poem" on top of the crinkle-- put the cover on the box and wrap up! I think it'd be fun to see them dig through the crinkle. Prolong the surprise a little longer!

How about rolling the message into a scoll and tying it to a red rose with a black ribbon?

Oooohhh, I love both ideas! Now which to choose. I actually thought about getting a single red rose and tying a black ribbon around it like in the movie. Maybe I'll do that AND the wrapping of the box idea.

Do they already own the CD? Maybe buy the CD and hide the tickets inside?

Put it in a box with a gag gift like a chia pet. SO they open it and say thanks with an akward smile, and then have them open the box.
