Here's how I do it missummer. Not guaranteeing that I do it the easiest way, but maybe this will help.
1. Go to the website and download the font. I got mine from here. If you look around, they have lots of cute fonts that you may like also (my daughter doesn't recognize "disney" and I am using a different one for different characters that looks like them; for example a cutsy one for tinkerbell, the mickey one for mickey, etc)
Mom's Corner Fonts
2. To download, you click on the font you want, then on that page a file download box will pop up/appear. You will need to save the zip file somewhere on your computer (be sure to KNOW where you are saving it to).
3. Unzip the file by going to where you saved it and just double click on it and then follow the on-screen instructions. This is also important to make sure you remember where you put it. (I made a FONTS folder in my My Documents so that I can copy them over to another computer easily when I want.)
4. Close the zipping program.
5. Open My Computer and move to the location where you unzipped the file. Just leave that open where you can see the font(s).
6. Go to your control panel. In Windows XP, you get there by just going start - control panel.
7. Double Click Fonts
8. Go back to the font you downloaded (in the my computer window). Right click on it and say copy.
9. Go back to the Font window and right click in a blank white space and say paste.
10. Your font is now downloaded. This may look sorta confusing, but it's really not. After I learned to do it, I went font crazy and I have too many fonts now. I can never make a decision.
Good luck. And if you need more help, feel free to PM me and I'll clarify any of these that seem murky. I know that different computers sometimes react slightly different
FYI If you already have Microsoft Word open, you may have to exit and then come back into it to see the fonts. I am not sure when this happens, but I've seen that situation on some computers. On my computer, it is there instantly.
