I was putting all our receipts from this year away, and for fun pulled out the envelope from our May 2011 Disney trip receipts to look over (it's amazing how much I forgot we ate! ;) ) I stumbled across a receipt for a cart in Liberty Square for a cookie and a bottled water. I remember us buying those one evening before the fireworks. DH handed the lady our card, we got our receipt and we walked off without looking at it. But looking at it now, I saw that the charge was $0 for everything. And it says "Snack Plan Purchase"...except we weren't on a meal plan.

At first, I thought maybe the person before us had gifted us with some snack credits. But I don't think that's possible b/c it clearly shows that this was charged (errr..not charged?) to the same account number that is on all the other receipts from DH's KTTK card. It also says, "Entitlements Used: 2", and at the bottom "Coupons Remaining: Call Front Desk." All our other food receipts are normal.

Here's the receipt:

Was this just a computer glitch, pixie dust from Disney, or a gift from an anonymous donor? I wish I'd noticed it at the time so I could have either corrected it or given thanks if they were due! Either way, now I'm very curious :) Any thoughts?

It was probably just a mistake made by the cashier, but I wanted to say that it is nice to hear that you would have spoken up if you had noticed the mistake at the time. I always try and watch for errors when out shopping because I try to be a very honest person and it's nice to know there are other ethical people doing the same. :wizard:

I had thought about her just keying it in wrong, but wasn't sure how it would let her, kwim? As in, I assmed either the credits are there or they're not there if you swipe the card, kind of like a credit on a gift card? So it would have rejected it if she'd selected "dining plan" and there were no credits available? I guess that must not be how they do it!

Awww thanks! I suspect I just have a paranoid sense of karma. :scared: ;)
