Suprise fastpasses-what a neat idea!

I've probably been working too hard and hadn't noticed but what is all this about a new celebration in October? How do surprise fastpasses (nice idea) relate to this event?

I'm even more excited about my visit in October now

I was at Epcot on 7/14 and when I got a FP for Soarin, I also got a surprise FP for Living with the Land. This happened twice that day, actually. Pretty neat since somehow I had totally not even heard of Living with the Land! I rode it once.

I had no idea WDW was doing this but we got surprise fastpasses at EPCOT when we went to get our fastpasses for Test Track. Attached to our TT fastpasses were 4 fastpasses for Mission Space for right then.

That's EXACTLY what happened to us during our May trip.
When we got our 4 FASTPASSES for Test Track....SURPRISE....out came 4 FastPasses for Mission Space too!!

Same thing happened to us in March of this year. It's been going on for a while and I think I had heard it was to try and get people to some of the FP attractions that weren't pulling in big numbers. Worked for us, we were thrilled to give M:S a try with ours!

happened to us in May too! Got fast passes for test track and a free MS one... which went to waste. I'll never go on MS again. I got so sick on MS... yikes!

It happened to us twice this month at Epcot. We got FP for Soarin' and got surprise FP for Living With the Land one day, and a few days later got surprise FP for Honey I Shrunk the Audience 3-D movie. What a pleasant surprise!

We also got fastpasses for Soaring with the surprise for Living with the Land. We were there July 12-23. We thought it was great and felt special.

We were there July 19 and we also got the Suprise Fast Passes for Mission Space when we got our Fast Passes for Test Track. Also that day, the electronic board with the ride waiting times had Mission Space listed as No Wait, so I just assumed the fast pass thing was to encourage people to ride Mission Space.

I think that was because everyone rode Mission Space on the 18th LOL. That was the day we were there, and the line for Mission Space was 50 minutes. Dh opted to skip it that day.

Do the "surprise FASTPASSES" look just like the regular FASTPASSES or do they indicate on them that they are "surprise FASTPASSES"?Thanks.

Yes this happened to us at soarin' in July, we got the surprise fastpass for living with the land.

happened to us in May too! Got fast passes for test track and a free MS one... which went to waste. I'll never go on MS again. I got so sick on MS... yikes!

I'm right there with you on that one! I *hate* MS and have made it clear to my family that I will never ride it again. I'm more than happy to wait outside the attraction for them if they want to.

We got the ones for Honey I Shrunk the Audience too. Why, I don't know because it wasn't like there was even a line over there and it was only half full.

I've had this happen at Epcot as well back in 2004. We went for a TT fastpass, and got an extra one for HISTA.

Has DCA done any suprise fast passes at any of the Fastpass kiosks?

I do remember getting fast passes for Honey i shrunk the kids when i got FP's for the test track.

We got surprise fast passes at Test Track for Mission Space, unfortunately I am not a fan of MS so we gave our fastpasses to someone who was heading to the ride. I wish we would have gotten them for Soarin!
