Surprise Disneyland Trip July 12th-15th PTR *The Kids Don't Know*

This is the first time back to DLR after our Wish Trip to DisneyWorld last year. Like always we have a big group.

So we have going on this trip is my Mom and Dad (Nana and Papa to the kiddos), myself and my two kids (Bugs and Cc as they are known around here), my brother James, my other brother Forbes and his wife Kelsey, and last but not least, my Niece (E, this will also be her first trip to DLR). The people missing out are my husband and my sister and BIL (E's parents). Work schedule and a nephew to young to go are the culprits.

Anyway. The kids have ZERO clue what is going on. They have been earning money to spend "later", and last night my mom told the kids that they get to spend next weekend with Nana and Papa. We live in AZ, and we live in the far west Valley about 30 miles outside of Phx. So the kids think that Nana and Papa are going to pick them up and then be really boring and look for yard sales. I told my mom to stop at one if they find one to really throw them off track. Meanwhile, after they leave, my brother is going to pick me up in his car. Running bets right now are they won't figure it out until Quartzite.

We are going to be staying at the Hyatt Regency. Bar far the nicest we have ever stayed at since I was a little girl.

10-1 my son will ditch me for my brothers the second he sees them. I don't mind taking the girls around. Last time we went, Bugs had to meet Princess's Snow White turns to him and asks if he is one his sister's dwarfs. The look he gave her. Priceless.

I spoke to my parents today. They are going to wait and drive as far as they can until the kids figure it out. We even found a yardsale for them to stop at to throw them off the trail. Well, that and my mom enjoys a good yard sale. So when they figure it out, they are going to call my brother, who I will be with following in his car. My parents are going to encourage them to tease their uncle and tell him that they are going to DLR and that he can't go. My brother is then going to tell them that he is going to pick me up and drive to DLR to take them home.

I love the yard sale throw off plan. I can't wait to find out how they react and hear the adventures of your trip!

My dad joked that we should knock on the hotel room door and then pretend to be mad and tell them that we are going home right now. I told him that would only end in tears. He admited that wouldn't be a good thing.

So leaving tomorrow and I haven't packed yet. Right now I am trying to find things that they will need for DL, they don't need for a weekend at Nana's without giving anything away. It rained last night, so I will use that for their ponchos. I still can't pack until after they go to bed and I have to hide my luggage until after they leave.

I think I am all packed. Just remembered at 4 am to make sure I have my ID and insurance cards. So right now, if I don't have it, it must not be important. The kids just left, still thinking that they are going to yard sales. My brother should be here any minute.
