Surprise Date Night suggestions needed!

Help! This is a great problem to have. We are at Disney and my in-laws are here too. They just offered to take DS to dinner on Wednesday and Friday so DH and I get to go out to dinner. We obviously don't have ADRs... So, I need suggestions. We are not major foodies, but do like a good meal. Not big drinkers, but I do like a cocktail or a beer. Not looking to spend a ton, but do want to enjoy our meal.

Hmm. If you don't want to spend the money on a signature then perhaps Chefs de France at Epcot or Raglan Road at DTD? Both can get loud but we like the food and enjoy walking around in Epcot (more than DTD to be honest). If a signature then maybe Flying Fish or Narcoossee's? People seem to like Boathouse but I haven't been for food. Tutto Gusto would be a less expensive option at Epcot that we enjoy though the food menu is limited. We enjoy the food at The Wave in Contemporary but the atmosphere isn't anything to write home about. The Wave might be easier to get a reservation at, and you should be able to get one at Raglan Road if you book through Open Table.

DH and I really enjoy date nights at the lounges of many of the better restaurants. We also like good food, aren't big drinkers but enjoy a nice glass of wine...and this really fits the bill for us. For example, we love Narcooseee's lounge, the shrimp cocktail there is the best we've ever had and the cheese plate is fantastic.

Tutto Gusto and Spice Road Table at Epcot are also great options. They offer small plates in a quieter setting which is really nice for a date night.

One other thought is the Captain's Grille. It's out of the way, nice and quiet, has a great menu, and is typically easy to get into.

Sanaa at Kidani Village has great food & atmosphere. More reasonable than a Signature. Because it is off the beaten path, often has availability. Maybe check out the online menu to see if its for you. If you go, def get the full bread service as an appie to share.

Another vote for Sanaa. From your criteria its a unique experience with amazing food. Agree that Raglan Road may also be fun. And of course there are always a multitude of signatures you could enjoy.....

Start your evening at Raglan Road where you can listen to the entertainment. Skip dessert and get something from Sprinkles or the gelato shop and wander around listening to the different musicians before you have to head back to the resort.

Check out the Maya Grill at Coronado Springs. Great Food and if it is "Date Night" spend after dinner with a beautiful stroll around their lake Lago Dorado.

You could probably get into Tiffin's at AK. It was fabulous. You could also try Nomad Lounge in AK, which doesn't take reservations. As an other poster suggested, the lounges are good. We liked Nomad and Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge in DHS. Trader Sam's at Poly is really good too, or Jock Lindsey's in Disney Springs.

I would recommend any of the restaurants at Swan/Dolphin - bluezoo, Il Mulino, Kimono's - it's pretty easy to get same day reservations (except Kimono's as they don't take reservations). For the others, you can call the restaurants directly or go on opentable.com. The food is great and then you can walk around the Boardwalk for the evening and see the entertainment, go to Jellyroll's, Atlantic Dance Hall, etc. If you are able to get a reservation, I would also recommend Trattoria al Forno on the Boardwalk. You can try the new AbracadaBar and get some ice cream at Ample Hills!

Sanaa at AKL is great, as others have mentioned.

Disney Springs is also a lot of fun. I would recommend the Boathouse or Raglan Road. Some of the new restaurants look good too! Again, if you can't get reservations through WDW, try calling the restaurants directly or go on opentable.com

My suggestion would be the House of Blues at Disney Springs. The Shrimp & Grits are awesome!!
