SURPRISE! Can we do it again? A November 2012 PTR!! SURPRISE !!11/1

Honestly, they have said previews open to everyone starting 11/19. But that's Thanksgiving week. I can't imagine them waiting until Thanksgiving week to "practice", which is what soft opens are for.

Oh my gosh! That must be frustrating to be so close, yet so far away from the FLE opening!!! I hope beyond hope that yall will be able to experience soft openings. That would be incredible!

I would take the boat first thing in the morning. It's a nice walk, but maybe only if there aren't children with? :rotfl:

I've heard great things about Cape May breakfast. We love dinner there, and I was this close to booking it for the last trip. Can't wait to hear what you think!

Yay for the Osbourne Lights! I'm so jealous!

Sorry about the Fantasy land opening. Hopefully you will be able to do and see some of it for a soft open.:goodvibes

I've heard that sometimes the wait for the boats is long too. I think if there are no boats waiting we'll have to hoof it. It will depend when we really get our butts moving!

I have a secret, I booked a dinner adr there! I don't know if I'll keep it, but it's on our 1st DHS day.

I'm so glad the lights are on while we there, I was worried that we'd miss it.

I'm hoping for any views we can get. and walls are meant to look over!:thumbsup2

Right! Let's clog up the area with the 2nd largest crowds of the year! They can practice on me! I'll thumbs up the whole place!:thumbsup2

Yeah, I was sad to hear that announcement, but still hoping for something, anything.:goodvibes

Hi there... Great PTR! We'll be there right before you. I love that you are surprising your daughter again. That is just the best. My parents never used to tell me we were going to Disney until a few days before we went. Such great memories!

And lucky you staying in one of the new Mermaid rooms! I'm trying to get my friend to agree to add a couple extra days onto our October trip so that we can stay there (we wanted to originally, but you couldn't book a Mermaid room with a free dining package) so fingers crossed!

Wow... I didn't know there were rumors of soft openings for Fantasyland as early as late Oct! Ahh, if that happened before we left, I would freak out! I am dying to see it!

Hi Carey! I'm going to hit the fabric store on Monday.

Can you please get me measurements of Kandence's waist (wherever it's most comfortable for her skirts to sit)
and of the length you'd like it (from the waist measurement to where you'd like it to hit her legs)

If you want, you can also PM me your cell # so I can text you how much the fabric will cost, but I can't imagine that it'll be more than $15-$20. I can have the skirt whipped up in a day or two, so once I'm done I'll have you PM me your address and I'll send it out!

I'm sure that you saw it, but AllEars has the menus for BoG up

I'm a little underwhelmed by it, but of course will be making sure that we eat there on the next trip. :lmao:

I hadn't been keeping very close tabs on the info regarding the restaurant, but I am shocked about 2 things.

1. No breakfast. I was really hoping for another sit down option at MK.

2. No characters. This really seems to be a missed opportunity. So many people can't get the CRT ADRs, wouldn't another option (in a castle environment no less) be a great way to make more money? What a cool place to see the 'non-classic' princesses-Belle, Tiana, Jasmine, Rapunzel, Merida. Or they could go the 1900 PF route and do Belle, Beast, Gaston and have some comic relief!

Clearly I've put waaaayyy too much thought into this. Just wondering what you're thinking of it!

HI!:wave2: Thanks! She loved being surprised, and I can['t wait to do it again! She loves to plan, but it's too fun to tell her ....this time!:scratchin

I'm so glad we were lucky enough to stay at AOA w/ free dining. It's already shaping up to be an awesome trip!

I hope the soft openings start for you, because that means there is some hope for us! Let me know what you see and hear!!!

Ok, I will measure her today. Do you think knee length is too long? I don't want it to look weird.

I'll pm you everything.

I seen the menu, and yes I think maybe we'd eat one or two things only. Picky eaters are definitely gonna have a problem. I'd still go though, Gotta see it all!:lmao:

I had heard breakfast maybe an option once they really get going with it all, lets hope!

On to the characters appearing.....rumor form Kenny the Pirate.....Beast will appear as a photo op before you are seated. I hope so! That would be so neat.

Maybe the outcry for characters will convince them to add them:thumbsup2

I heard Gaston will be meeting near his tavern.

Ok,

sad news…..:guilty:

Here it comes……..:sad2:

Hold on; just give me a minute……:sad1:

November 11th, Leaving Disney. Vacations over.

Yup, it’s finally gotten to that point. Time to head home, get back to school/work/real life. :crazy2:

So I don’t know yet what time we’ll be leaving AoA, but our flight out of MCO is at 12:05pm. We will be using the ME, so does that mean leaving 3 hours prior (9am)? That will give us enough time to catch breakfast before we leave.
I know that Jen will be checking in AoA as we check out. ENJOY! I will leave it as nice as I found it for ya!:thumbsup2

So our flight leaves at noon O’ five, and it looks like we’ll be back into Milwaukee around 2:00pm ish, (through the magic of time travel….ok, time zones) then on to the car park place, and then begin the 2 ½ hour drive north to home. I figure even if we stop for dinner along the way, we should be home no later than 5:30-6pm. Just enough time to haul all the luggage in, get things ready for the next day back to work/school, and a little relax before bed.

After that, many pictures to edit, a TR!!! And to keep the Disney blues at bay, next year’s trip to plan!!!

Anyway, I did pack my first items this morning! Shampoo/conditioner/soap! Whoa, slow down, I know! :lmao:

I was in a “clean out the bathroom closet” mood, and figured I’d refill the travel bottles and stuff them in the toiletry bag.

I was actually going to put the custom outfits I ordered for Kadence in her suitcase while she’s at cheer practice tonight. They can collect dust there instead of on my closet shelf.

I joined the 21st century today and got an iPhone. I have not a clue what I’m doing with it yet. :scratchin I got the DISboards app and haven’t figured out how to post from it yet. What I did above was just “quote” the previous post and erase the words and add what I wanted to post. I did get the new Disney app, My Disney Experience. SO far it looks nice, but since it uses gps to learn your location, it wouldn’t give me too much info because I’m not there.
If anybody has any words of wisdom or any advice on iPhones, please feel free to share.

65 days to go!!!!:dance3:

I love both the DISboards and the Disney Experience app! You'll get used to them after awhile. WDW News is a good one, too.

The last day is always the hardest. Are you flying AirTran? I had a hard time finding the PERFECT flights this year, so we're flying back at 7:50p (which is great, because we come back on a Saturday and we don't have the drive that you do).

Can't wait for how the surprise goes for Cadence! I've been slowly packing things for Eli in his Tow Mater suitcase.... I can't wait to surprise him.

I'll have to get John to load that app, he's the uploader here.:)

Last day blues, where you shuffle your feet and hang on to the door frame while they pushing you out.

For the first time we are flying Southwest. Airtran just couldn't beat SW prices this year. Which is funny since SW owns AirTran...

I can't wait to see her face when she figures it out. I told John has has to hold the video camera still to catch it, he's known for bouncy, off subject shots...oh and butts!:lmao:

How awesome is it that you already know exactly when you'll be going back? I bet that'll make it a little bit easier to leave... maybe... hahah probably not.
