We are taking dd3 to WDW in January for her 4th b-day. We will be at MK for the P&P party on her actual b-day. Anyhow, have any of you guys ever done a trip for a special occasion? If so, what should I do about presents? With my dd only turning 4, I feel as if she should be opening presents on her b-day, but we will be having a party for her once we return. I'm interested in others opinions.

I would give a couple things for her to open on her day. Kids this young really don't understand time. How fun to have a few from you and maybe 1 or 2 from her favorite Disney character. Nothing huge but special.

Happy Birthday!!!!! :cheer2:

We went for my dd6 birthday. She had her party before we left. My mom and I both picked her up something when we were already at wdw to give on her brithday. I got her the Jasmine costume She also had breakfast with the princesses in Epcot. and they had the table decorated. Also had supper with pooh and friends at crystal palace. Again the table was decorated. and she got card sign by all the charaters at each place.

dd 6 Actually just asked me yesterday if she was going to have her birthday party in April again so we can go back to disney.

We just went for our younger of 2 DD's 4th bday.... the first full day of our trip she turned 4... she got to get the wake-up call and then opened a couple of small gifts we'd brought from home. We then got her the bday button at the MK and let her do whatever SHE wanted-(we rode Thunder Mtn. more times that day than I have in a week's vacation in year's past!LOL! :rotfl: ) After plenty of cast members acknowedging her with a "Happy Birthday" she asked how they knew it was her birthday.... I told her she just looked 4 now! :rotfl: We had dinner reservations at 1900 Park Fare with Cinderella that night-both our girls wore their princess costumes to dinner and my bday girl was spoiled rotten by the characters and the waitress :goodvibes I special ordered the chocolate slipper dessert for her bday "cake" and the surrounding tables all sang to her :) :) :) We then went back into the MK after dinner until she was pooped.... she said it was her "bestest bday ever"
and my 6 yr old DD asked if she could have her bday there next year too :rotfl:

She got so used to everyone doting on her and wishing her a happy birthday that the next day she asked me why nobody was wishing her a happy birthday anymore (she no longer had the pin on) I told her that her bday was yesterday and she replied that the whole trip is because of her birthday :rotfl: :rotfl:

When we returned home, we had a small family party for her too :)
