Surprise 50th at the Yachtsman??!!!

We are surprising my brother in law and flying he and my sister to Disney with us for his 50th birthday. We will be eating at the yachtsman and was wondering if anyone knows the resturant well enough to tell us if there is a special dining area that is more private than another? We would like to request in advance to make sure everything is taken care of before we go down... so if anyone knows it would be helpful.... Please also tell me any ideas to make the night special that you've heard of or done?

1) Not at Yachtsman.
2) However, there are private rooms at other resorts.
3) Each has a minimum dollar amount.

Ate there for my dh's 50th. Ask for a table by the windows. Fewer tables in that area & they are not as close together I told Disney that it was his b'day when I made the reservation. They printed a special menu w/his name on it!

When you walk in and see the dessert display if you look on the other side of that wall there is a fairly quiet little nook/room that is open to the rest of the dining room. We ate in their last time we were there, they normally sit six or so tables of four in there but I think it would be easy to request your one large table in there (if it is a large group that is, if not you can just tell them the occasion and request that you be sat in there). There's also a similar room in the back, left corner of FF (opposite of the window) that's slightly larger but also a fairly private spot. I personally prefer the food at FF but it may be a bit quieter at YS.
