Ahhh, the delights of Champagne Breakfast! Not to miss this one with your REAS package. Got a nice shaded area at CC afterwards while Michael and Tom enjoyed the water, I read. Comfortable in the warmth of the Caribbean sun as it came through the palm tree leaves with blue skies and white fluffy clouds about! AHHHH, Captain Jack, where are you?!!

After packing up and making those last minute goodbyes - we got to bed around 10PM.

Late breakfast with goodbyes to all, and by 9AM, we were off the ship - we were picked up by Bates Limo, a great limo service that was pitchhitting for Happy. We were very impressed with the owner Richard and will probably use them next time. I think their site is bateslimousine.com

Airline had a line to get into the line to get into the line to get through the scanners. Don't even ask how long we stood in line -it was forever! Again, ATA was a winner on the way home and our limo driver collected us at the Airport and along the way, showed us the damage from the tornado the week before. Fortunately, it was not near our home (6 miles away).

Glad to be back on land, glad to have survived the seas, and looking forward to April 30, 2005 - when I will go incognito!

Does this mean that you will be going a whole year without another cruise Rae? However will you manage? I am really looking forward to the 4-30-05 cruise!!!

Just curious --
Were you on any motion sickness medicine? Also, because the Eastern has the extra day at sea will you choose Western next time? Were you having panic attacks about being stuck on a moving boat or were you nautious from the movement? I am asking these because we are scheduled for the Eastern next Dec. and I usually use a motion sickness patch which helps with the movement but not with the anxiety. I'm just worried that I'll be in the same condition as you were in.....

Rae, Thanks so much for the terrific trip reports!! I am so sorry the weather was so unpleasent!! I am also worried about seasickness!! It's such a shame to have all that glorious food available and no appetite!! Thanks for the phone calls to Andy. He was gracious enough to share them with all of us. The drunken friends giving Andy a shout out made me laugh!! Sounds like you made some special memories and made the best of the wavy situation!! Sounds like Tom and Michael had fun too!!! Thanks for taking the time to share your report!! Hope you are feeling better real soon. You've got another cruise to plan for!!

Shrimp Queen Rae ~ Welcome back to the real world!

Thanks for taking the time to satisfy our curiosity with your most welcomed trip report! Sounds like you, DH and Michael did have some good times, even tho the sea left much to be desired. What a shame not to feel up to enjoying all the amenities. The Romance Pkg and High Tea sound like very special treats!

The high seas bring back memories when I took my Mom in Sept. I can't imagine a whole week of it! Yuck, I felt your pain! One night we had waters 15'+ going thru an electrical storm, which she is paranoid of. As we lay in bed, we were actually tossed from side to side of bed and the only thing that would stop the closet doors from the horrible banging, was blocking with our life preservers. For her sake, I kept the curtains shut and played it off as no big deal. In actuality, I was saying some prayers ^i^, if you know what I mean. The next morn I commented to the Capt. and he said, 'It was that crazy Goofy driving!!"

Your 'Shrimp Lei' sounds so cool...what a nice thoughtful surprise!

Rae, I am sooo sorry about your rough seas. I do hope you were kidding about the incognito part though. You are going to let me meet you and give you a hug aren't you?

Rae, I am so sorry for your rough seas and sleeping away days of your cruise. This has been a difficult year weather wise. Our February cruise historically has been picture perfect weather, but this year........the weather just plain old sucked! I predict for our 50th birthday cruise we will have fantastic weather!

You can't go incognito for the 50th birthday festivities!

Rae, it's good to know that you are in good spirits despite the seasickness! Unfortunately, I can relate completely as I spent my first cruise completely "green." I think most of my meals consisted of saltine crackers during that cruise. However, it hasn't stopped me from cruising! Wanna join us August 21? It'll be a blast!!! Thanks for your trip reports!
