Surfing lessons on Waikki beach

My two daughters want to take a surfing lesson while are there. Any recommendations? They are 15 & 17.

We are visiting Aulani and Waikiki in June and I have booked my husband a lesson on Waikiki beach with Gone Surfing, they seem to have great reviews so hopefully he will have a great time.

the Koa Beach services has a good surf lesson too. But, in many places on waikiki the paddle out will be a killer. LOL You kids will probably love it, but maybe have them work their upper body strength first. hahahah (or maybe it's just old lady me who finds that a problem....on the other hand, I got a nice tow from my instructor. Not a bad way to pass the time)

We had no desire to learn how to surf, but still wanted the experience of riding the waves, so we did the outrigger canoe ride at Waikiki. Great fun for the family. I believe we rode 4 waves total!

We just walked up to the outrigger canoe and signed up. They were located at the time out in front of the Sheraton hotel, I believe,near the Royal Hawaiian pink hotel. Best $90 we spent on vacation.

Did you get a discount? I see someone posted about YELP offering 10% off but can't find it. I think we are going to book them.
