Surf Fishing in July at Vero??

Has anyone fished the Vero Beach surf in July? What species might be present? I would be very surprised if there were no piscatorial targets worth pursuing?

JFS my family has yet to fish while at VB but last year during the first week of August a gentleman was fishing maybe 150ft or so south of where we were swimming. He caught a cute little 3.5ft hammerhead shark. Gave me a nice feeling all over!
