Sure, we'll wait 7 hours! As long as we get to WDW! July 14-22 Trip Report*NEW 3/18*

Ohh, Cape May! I've heard awesome things about that place and after seeing your pictures and hearing how much yall enjoyed it, I definitely want to give it a try! I know my husband would love the ALL YOU CAN EAT CRAB LEGS!

Don't worry about the long breaks between updates, I know how busy life can get. I'm TAing for the first time this semester and its A LOT of work. I imagine student teaching is just as bad if not worse!

I've never been to Chef Mickey's for breakfast before, only for dinner, but it's such a fun place to go regardless of what meal you're eating there. By the way, LOVE the Minnie ears.

I love the idea of going to the park whose bus shows up first, not only is it really spontaneous, it sounds like a fun thing to do. I might have to try that sometime, though spontaneous is one thing I'm not when at Disney. :lmao:

I HATE seafood, but even I love Cape May Cafe. It has such a great atmosphere and even the non-fishy food is delicious. Plus I love buffets. I really wish I liked crab legs because I've heard from soooo many people how great they are.

Can't wait to hear more about you trip. How many days are left?

We were both really surprised by how much we enjoyed it! I know that they are refurbishing it this summer! I hope they don't change the menu! There breakfast buffet it really good too, we went to that when we stayed at the Beach Club. They dress really cute and beachy! :)

I'm glad someone can relate! I have gotten better at managing my time, but writing 9 lesson plans a week is hard!

Chef Mickey's is my favorite. I think I say that about everywhere, but it is hard to decide! I really like it though! I have never been there for dinner! We might have to because I have only heard good things! And thanks! :earsgirl:

We had already been to all of the parks once, and we are all soooo indecisive! So that is what we have been doing the past couple family vacations! Just jumping on which ever comes first! It makes the waiting for a bus more bearable! :P

Cape May, a new staple! I was surprised, but a good surprise! I'll be back!

We have 2 more days! So it's coming to a close! The end of the vacation is always the saddest! :( haha

Just a heads up, this is a pretty picture heavy update! It was our trip around the world complete with fitting pictures for each country. It a tradition of ours! Haha

The Nighttime Trip Around the World!

After our fabulous dinner at Cape May, we decided to show Jon around the hotel some. Kayla and I stayed at the Beach Club back in 2004, and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Honestly if you love the beach and feel like you wanna get away even while at Disney World, this is an amazing place. We went towards the pool since it is amazing and then headed out to the walkway that leads to the World Showcase.

The beautiful pool area!

butterfly topiary!

My parents were just about done with their dinner so we decided to go over and meet them and see the World Showcase at our leisure as opposed to our run through the night of our Canada dinner.

We stopped and got a few pictures on our way in and our parents met us at France because my mom and sister were excited for their adult beverage!

The back entrance from the Beach club!

I think France is so pretty at night, but I don’t think pictures even do it justice sometimes.

La Patisserie. Yummm! We were too stuffed from dinner but we'll be back to enjoy! no worries!

We kept on our journey, which landed us in Moracco! Another beautifully designed country back there..
DSC06728.jpg

I love this fountain!

DSC06734.jpg

Kayla wanted to pose like Jasmine and Aladdin since they weren’t there..

Then we hit us Japan! We went through the store, which we usually don’t take the time to do but it was extremely interesting!
DSC06736.jpg

This was supposed to be of that lantern..fail.

DSC06744.jpg

My dad always likes this picture.

DSC06742.jpg

He’s so silly.

Then of course we stopped at America! Home sweet home. Haha

Then we headed over to Italy, which I always think smells so delicious. From the food to the smell of that store, it’s just a wonderful place to be. Haha
DSC06751.jpg

Another pretty fountain..Disney has awesome fountains. Why haven’t I realized this sooner?

DSC06753.jpg

Parentals!

Germany was next! This is the country that always reminds me of that Full House episode! So good and again the atmosphere just makes me smaile.

I’m not sure how we got separated, but me and Jon parked on a bench in the African Outpost until we spotted these three again..

Woo. So many pictures! I hope it wasn’t too boring of an update. Stay tuned to find out about our seester breakfast adventure! Any guesses where we ventured?!

Special Report!!!!! Check out my signature! We are headed back to the world! We will explain later on, but I am TOO excited! We aren't telling anyone, so I had to vent to my DIS fam! :) YAY!

It's TONGA TIME!!

How long I have waited for this moment of my life. I woke up feeling refreshed and ready to have an adventure. What kind of adventure you ask. A Hawaiian adventure. That's right, Christie and I were off to the Poly! We were ready for our first taste of the infamous.....TONGA TOAST. Can I tell you how excited I was!? SOO EXCITED!

So, we woke up pretty early, wanting to get going, and hopped on a boat to the Contemporary to catch the monorail!
DSC06771.jpg

pretty sister :)

DSC06778.jpg

This is one INTENSE fanny pack. I might need this one day

DSC06777.jpg

Ready to board! The workers at the monorail are always willing to snap a picture! :)

So, we get over to the Poly and the smell is unreal. Like it smells like paradise. I WILL stay there one day, promise.

We made our way back to Captain Cooks to get their Tonga Toast QS breakfast. Now, I know what you might say..this isn't really experiencing it. I know, I know. I will make it to get that, but for now, this will do.

We ordered and paid, and we waited patiently.
DSC06784.jpg

waiting!
DSC06785.jpg

me too!

Finally, our little buzzer thing buzzed, and we headed on up to get our order!
If I remember correctly, we got TWO :scared1: pieces of toast, and split a chocolate milk!

Here is Christie with our first piece of Tonga Toast!
DSC06786.jpg

So excited!

We ate, and my oh my, it was YUM! I literally could not get enough of it! I enjoyed every bite. I definitely want to go try it with the strawberry sauce to get that experience too (along with those Macadamia Nut Pancakes!)! I would recommend these to EVERYONE!

After our breakfast expedition, we were going to meet our parents and Jon for a day of exploring!

Let me just tell you, I was VERY annoyed with the buses at the Poly. Argh. We noticed the bus to where we wanted to go was at the stop. RUNNING, we waved at the bus to PLEASE wait a couple more seconds! But no. They could NOT wait. They LEFT us. So we proceeded to wait FOREVER, and I mean FOREVER for another bus.
**I may be exaggerating, I was a little sad! This was one of the ONLY times that I have ever had an issue with Disney Transportation. It was probably because they HAD to move on and stay on schedule, which I understand. It was still annoying at the time!

We finally got a bus and ended up here! Can anyone guess where we are?!
DSC06788.jpg

mystery location :rotfl:

There will be more coming! Where we were going that day, what special event we have at night, and what will be coming up on our last full day! It's coming to an end ya'll! :(

See ya real soon! xox

Hey! I'm finally all caught up! Loving the TR, too bad I came in at pretty much the end... hahaha. Oh and I saw your Dinosaur picture... too funny! :rotfl:

Snacks Around the World!

Our mystery location was Hollywood Studios if anyone was wondering! We were back by the rock and roller coaster waiting for my dad and Jon to get off! The rest of our crew went over there to wait for us after our venture for Tonga Toast!

Once they got off we decided to head over to Epcot (which seems to be a family favorite, especially this trip!) so that we could take some pictures with the countries in the daytime and hit up some of our snacks around the world! YUM!

Once we got to Epcot we went straight back to the World Showcase and stopped for lunch because it was around 12 and we had an early dinner at the luau at 5:30. We decided that our food from England was going to be fish and chips for lunch! All of us split an order because we were going to be doing some snacking. They were hot and delicious, which was good but it was getting pretty toasty out so I didn’t eat too much.
DSCN4033.jpg

Really tastey for a counter service!

DSC06793.jpg

Phone booth picture!

We stopped at France to get something from la patisserie! It is one of our traditions and they have some really delicious treats! (and men! Haha for Kayla of course!)

France! Such a gorgeous day!

Morocco. The colors are so pretty in the sun!

DSCN4035.jpg

Baklava for my dad because he didn’t like Kayla’s snack choice! It was really sweet but totally yummy!
DSCN4036.jpg

Hummus! Oh. My. Goodness. I don’t even like hummus all that much but this was SO GOOD! We got so much hummus and not enough pita, but I enjoyed it so much! If you love hummus you need to give this a try. For sure!

Tokyo was our next stop! We made a quick stop for a picture and our snack but we were running short on time so we didn’t stay long!
DSC06797.jpg

Me and Kayla

DSCN4037.jpg

Tangerine ice from Tokyo! Hit the spot on the hot afternoon!

We heard such great things about the caramel corn from Germany so of course me and Kayla needed to give it a try for our snack from Germany. We had a few pieces, but almost all of it to bring home for my grandma but it was delicious! The real caramel really makes a difference! And everything in that store looks amazing!
DSCN4039.jpg

Caramel corn!

Next we got a quick picture at the African outpost before stopping in China for our eggroll!
DSC06803.jpg

silly girls!
DSCN4040.jpg

The last stop we made was Mexico and my sister and mom were on a mission…the margarita!
