Sure, we'll wait 7 hours! As long as we get to WDW! July 14-22 Trip Report*NEW 3/18*

So, my sister has brought you up to date on the first part of our travel day. It was an adventure to say the least! We tried to make the most of it, and I think that we did a pretty good job! Well, I am on board to tell you about the rest of our travel day! WOO! So many questions to answer, and adventures to be had! Will our plane ever come?! Will we make our reservations?! How will our rooms at WL be?! Oh, I can't wait to relive this! :yay:

Chapter 1 (cont): Just when I thought I couldn't wait any longer!

When we got back to our gate, we were all ready to get on our plane and get to Florida already. Our gate was packed! There was a flight going to baltimore and a flight going to chicago. There were a lot of people! My dad went up to the counter to see if anything had changed while me and my sister found a place to sit.
DSC06174-1.jpg

just bein lazy, waiting for our flight!
Now, I had to keep reminding myself that, no matter what, I would be going to Disney. But when my dad got back to us carrying 5 more vouchers for $100 each, I was starting to get a little worried! :headache: So once again, our flight was delayed. This time until 4:50. WHAT! I was a little frustrated and complained about Southwest and how horrible it was, but I know that it was just because I was mad. It seemed as though they were just taking precautions to keep us safe and really couldn't get another plane, but it was hard to keep a positive attitude while we were in the situation!

Alright, so quick recap. We got up at 6 to leave for the airport by 7:15. We got through security by 8:40 and our flight was at 10:40. We got a call saying it was delayed until 12 and then another saying it was moved to 2. We got $200 voucher for our troubles. The man came on the loudspeaker saying our flight had been delayed again to 3:40 and we decided to go to lunch at Friday's. When we got back, we found out we got another $100 voucher along with another delay. Our plane was going to leave @ 4:50 and we would get to Orlando International Airport around 7.

Now, for you Disney planners, you realize that we had a slight dilemma on our hands. We would only be getting to Orlando at 7, and our reservations were at 8. There was NO way that we were going to make our reservations. :guilty: :sad1: Should we change our reservation or not?! We kept going back and forth and back and forth. I’m not sure what I thought at the time, I just know that I was SO sad that we wouldn’t be making it there that first night. It had become somewhat of a tradition of ours to go to a dinner show on that first night, so I was disappointed. After a long and troubling debate, we decided that we should change the reservation to Wednesday, the night we had scheduled for DTD and House of Blues. If we changed our minds, we could always cancel later in the trip. Soo, my mom called to reschedule our Spirit of Aloha Show at 5 on Wednesday. The seats weren't as good because the reservations were made so late, but it would have to do. We still had our reservations to the House of Blues that night as well, just in case we really decided that this wasn’t going to work. AGH, so stressful. I do not like trip planning while on the trip!

After this debacle, our plane FINALLY got in and we all boarded, I think that we were the happiest group of people in the world. Not only were we getting out of that airport, we were going to the happiest place on earth! ☺ ☺ ☺

DSC06177-1.jpg

Me and all my vera’s in ORLANDO!

We got off the plane and headed toward the Magical Express pickup! WOO! First we saw this wonderful sign!
DSC06178.jpg

And me and my dad had a run in with my favorite boy wizard!
DSC06179.jpg

So we walked down to the baggage claim area where the magical express lines were. FINALLY, we would be getting to my home away from home! :woohoo: I love WL, so i was more that excited to hop on that bus. We had a bit of trouble finding the darn place though, just because this was the first time finding it in a while!

So, when we get there there was only 3 other families getting in line at the same time! WOOO! We didn't really have to wait at all, because as soon as we got on the bus we left! But before that we saw this!
DSC06181.jpg

AHH, YESSS!

DSC06182.jpg

Here is a picture of us on the bus!

And not very long after, we saw this!
DSC06185.jpg

The bus driver said that we would be stopping at ALL of the other hotels, Grand Floridian, Fort Wilderness, and Port Orleans. So we were LAST! AGHHH! It was a good thing that we cancelled our reservations because there was nooo way we were making them.

When we FINALLY got to the Wilderness Lodge is was about 845ish. We got off the Magical Express and practically ran up to the GIANT front doors! We were greeted by a really nice guy (whose name has slipped my mind! sorry!) and we were on our way to check in! He was from the Pittsburgh area, which was really cool! We chatted about the Pirates and how well the WERE doing while we were there! We did the online check in, which made it super quick, but my dad noticed that we were on the 2nd floor. NO THANK YOU! said my dad. We asked nicely if there were any rooms facing the pool courtyard. Luckily, our new Pittsburgh friend was able to help us out! There were two rooms, fairly close together on the 6th floor! YESS! We were extremely excited! WOO!

So we were off to our rooms! And we saw this...
DSC06186.jpg

Biggest fireplace EVERR!

When we got to our room, we went out to our balcony and had THE BEST view. Seriously, I couldn't have asked for anything better!
DSC06189.jpg

So pretty <3

So we got ourselves situated (without our luggage) and decided to head to DTD for dinner. Earl of Sandwich is our favorite, so we wanted to get that as our welcome to WDW dinner.

Here is us in our room!
DSC06191.jpg

Before we left!

It seemed to take FOREVER for the bus to get there, so we took pictures at the bus stop. We are too much sometimes. :rotfl:

When we got to DTD, we went straight to Earl. It was DELICIOUS! Here are some pictures!

My Dad's and Jon's! The Original!
DSCN3941.jpg

My mom's and sister's! The Hawaiian BBQ!
DSCN3943.jpg

Mine! The Cobb Wrap!

IT WAS SOO GOOD! Seriously, one of the best meals all trip. I'm not going to give it a little write-up/rating, but it was excellent!

One of the highlights of the night was walking down to the movie theater because...it was the opening night of Harry Potter! I was entirely too jealous of all of the people going to see it, but it was okay. Everyone was dressed up in fun little costumes, but not a outrageous as I expected. We were all kinda expecting more until we saw....somone dressed as Hedwig. Seriously, it was a giant white feathery, furry suit with a hood that had an owl on the top. It was the BEST thing I have ever seen! It made everything that happened that day okay. HAHA

So, after this we just caught the bus from Pleasure Island back to our hotel. It was getting late and we were all pretty tired from our adventures. When we got back to the room, our luggage was still not there. We had expected it to be there by then. We called our parents room to see if they had gotten theirs. Theirs did come, so they called the front desk. The three of us worried that our luggage had gotten lost in the crazy travel day that we had. I was so stressed until there was a knock on our door. A very nice man brought our luggage into our room and we were set! It happened to just be delivered to the wrong room (our first room assignment) and got mixed up. THANK GOODNESS!

We got all ready for bed, unpacked our clothes, and got out what we were wearing the next day. I called for a wake-up call and we were set for the next day. We were allll ready to see the mouse and Magic Kingdom! It was going to be an exciting day!

Glad you finally made it! Coming home from Memphis once, my flight kept getting delayed until it was finally canceled. It was soooooooo stressful. It has to be 10X worse knowing you're missing out on Disney time though. Awesome room location, reminds me of the view we had on our first family Disney trip where we of course stayed at the Wilderness Lodge (one of my favorite hotels).

By the way, those jumping pictures are great. :goodvibes On our trip last January we kept taking pictures like that, we must have like five in each park. The photopass photographers thought we were crazy.

I'm so glad that you guys finally made it down there! I would have been losing hope too, I've got to be honest.

If you had to change your reservation though, good choice deciding to go to DTD for Earl of Sandwich. One of my faves!

First off, I love all of the Vera Bradley bags:goodvibes

I can't believe your flight got delayed again! I would have been furious! After all of that time you really think they would have gotten another plane. Personally, I would not have been able to get on the plane that had all the troubles:laughing: Thats nice though that you got more vouchers and that you could get reservations a different night for the Spirit of Aloha show.

Nice view from your room:thumbsup2 Im sure that made all the struggles you went through to get to WDW a little more worth it too!

Ive never been to the EoS but from what Ive heard and seen it sounds/looks so good! I am defeintely going to try and try it when Im at SSR in December! (I said that last time I was at SSR too but this time Im more serious:laughing:)

Can't wait for more!

Alright, so I'm writing replies to all of you lovely subbers! I know that I have been behind on that, but I wanted to get back to you all individually! You may have a couple replies, just so ya know!

I'm in !!! Can't wait to hear about the trip !!!popcorn::
Yay! Thanks for subbing!
I'm on board! Can't wait to hear about your trip.
welcome aboard! thanks for reading along!
Following along too! I read your pre-trip report but fell behind in commenting.

I'm going in December! I've only ever been in April/May before, so I'm looking forward to less heat/humidity!
You'll have to let me know how your december trip is! I want to go during that time someday! :) Thanks for following along with both!
yay! welcome! :)
I'm not writing a trip report, I never have and I don't take detailed notes. I do enjoy reading them, but I am not ambitious enough to write them.

We always go in July so I am used to the heat (which didn't seem as bad this year) as well as the darn tours.
I love reading them, so i figured i'd give it a try! Hopefully I do a good enough job! and the heat didn't seem as bad, but those darn tours were just as bad as i remember!
Count me in!
woo! welcome aboard! enjoy! :)
I am in too can't wait to read about your trip :thumbsup2
yay! welcome! I hope you enjoy! :)
Hi there! I'm in. Can't wait to hear about your trip!:)
I can't wait to write about it! Hope you enjoy! and Welcome! :)
I can totally relate on the "I'm too excited to sleep" front, I feel like that every Disney Eve :) Even though that commercial was so long ago i still remember it super well.

Funny Story about how your mom woke you up, that sounds exactly like something my mom would do :)

Sad about how your plane kept getting delayed! I remember one time i was try to go home from visiting my grandmother we got delayed for 6 hours on our lay over in memphis. It's even worse when it happens in Disney.

Hopefully you made it over there :)
They should definitely bring back that commercial. It's only right. :lmao: anddd, that song is the best wake-up song. It makes me happy, which is hard to do in the morning! Oh, and delays STINK! No matter where you're going, they seem to put a little damper on the mood.
Thanks for reading along! :)
I know the feeling about not being able to concentrate the day before a Disney trip. I feel like the whole week before in school Im off:laughing: I can also relate to having to say goodbye to your dog. That is the ONE good part about getting back from WDW, being able to see pets again:lovestruc As much as i love Disney I miss my puppy when Im there.

:scared1: I would have NEVER been able to handle a flight being pushed back that far! I would have demanded that we be put on another flight to Orlando! I feel like that is really unacceptable. The vouchers you got were a good consulation though I guess, are there a reason to go to Disney again soon?

Can't wait to hear how your traveling day ends!
Ah, waiting for a trip while sitting in class is TERRIBLE. I used to have to do that when I was in high school and we went with the band/dance team! It was soo hard! I also told my dad that he should have demanded another flight. I was very maddd! haha
I would have been soo mad if my flight got delayed.. I am not a very patient person.. can't wait to read more :thumbsup2
Looking back, it wasn't as bad as we thought it was in the moment! It did stink though! Hope you're enjoying!
Oh no! I hope you guys make it in time.

There is nothing worse than flight delays. They seriously suck. Especially when you feel you're just being messed around with by the airline, you know? I know sometimes there's nothing they can do, but seriously? That much delay.
They were trying, and that's all I can ask for. I guess... Plus, I'm glad we got a safe, non-broken plane!
I hope you don't have to cancel, that would be tragic! I'm loving this thread so far.:thumbsup2
Thanks for reading! I'm glad you're loving it!

Ah, I'm glad to see another WL lover! It sure is gorgeous, right! and jumping pictures are the best, but you do end up getting the strangest looks! haha!
I'm so glad that you guys finally made it down there! I would have been losing hope too, I've got to be honest.

If you had to change your reservation though, good choice deciding to go to DTD for Earl of Sandwich. One of my faves!
EoS is the BEST! I'm glad that things worked out and we got to eat there. It was nice and relaxing, which is exactly what we needed!
First off, I love all of the Vera Bradley bags:goodvibes

Thanks! I'm obsessed with vera! I have tooo many! What am I saying? You can never have too many! I'm happy that we got down there and were able to relax! Finally! It was worth the wait just to make it their safely! AND our view was incredible, so I'm glad we got that too! It did make up for it a little bit! OH, and you HAVE HAVE HAVE to go to EoS. Please! It's seriously one of my highest recommendations. So, if you go, I hope you enjoy it!

Phew! I gotta keep up with those! I'm glad everyone is enjoying the TR. We've got some interesting stories about our trip! I love it! And, I am just getting some time to read through all of your PTRs and TRs. I will be commenting on them too!

Joining in!

All those delays would have sent me into a major panic. Plus, we have California Grill ressies our first night, so I'm praying nothing goes wrong with our flight!

Love, love, love, the jumping pics. Definitely gonna steal that when we get there!

EoS looks so good!

I love how happy you all were for the trip to begin. I wish I had a whole family that would get that excited with me. Thank goodness for the DIS!!
Thank you for your wonderful team reporting!

Hi all! I'm sorry it has been awhile but i start school again on Monday (where did the summer go?!) so I've been running around gathering stuff for that. I've been a little stressed out from work and everything as well, and what better way to cure that then relive our lovely vacation! So let's get on that!!

"What the heck..are you seriously crying at rope drop?!"

So Kayla and I decided that 6:15 was a good time for our wake up call, so we would have time to be lookin fresh for our first full day in Disney! Ah! We also made a deal not to answer the phone when it rang. We wanted Jon to get the full experience! Especially hearing Mickey's voice bright and early. So when the phone rang me and Kayla were wide awake, but Jon was not having it. We had to throw pillows at him to even make him move. When he finally answered he just listened, hung up, and flipped over. hahah Obviously he's not a morning person, but deep down I think he enjoyed it. I however don't like that Stitch interrupts Mickey now a days. I don't know why but it just seems wrong to me, but oh well! After we got up, we all showered and got ready to go to breakfast down at Roaring Forks around 7:45.

DSCN3944-1.jpg

DSCN3945-1.jpg

I got a banana nut muffin! and Kayla got a blueberry one! They were both pretty good I mean they were muffins. Nothing all that special.

DSCN3946-1.jpg

My dad got a bacon egg and cheese croissant with hash browns. He said he liked the meal, but it wasn't his favorite. Which is understandable.

DSCN3947-1.jpg

My momma got oatmeal with brown sugar on top. She really enjoyed herself, but I think you have to be an oatmeal person. haha

Jon got some grapes..he’s not a big breakfast person because he gets nauseous so we decided a small meal would be best for our big day! I didn't take a picture. Sorry about that!

DSC06209-2.jpg

Getting ready to leave breakfast!

After we ate we headed out to catch the boat that goes to the Magic Kingdom around 8:15 since we wanted to make sure we got a good spot for my mom's favorite part of vacation AKA rope drop! When we got there, a boat was waiting to tell us that the Magic Kingdom boats didn't start running until a half hour before the park opened. I remember hearing that, but we all just forgot. So we decided to hitch a ride with the boat going to the Contemporary and catch the monorail, which I was thrilled about since I love the monorail! It was a nice quiet ride over, and the first monorail ride of the trip was perfect like always!
DSC06213-1.jpg

Us on the monorail!

We arrived at the Magic Kingdom around 8:40, and there weren't a ton of people there like we were expecting. I guess people just weren't feeling it that morning, but I'm not complaining because we had a great spot!

We took a ton of pictures while waiting, and I don't know if it was because we weren't acclimated to the heat yet but we were SO hot. We were all sweating and fanning ourselves. It was probably because we were standing in one area and the sun was beaming down on us, but golly was it a warm one! Not that we were complaining! We were thrilled about the beautiful weather! So far... Here's some of the pictures we took!

DSC06222-1.jpg

On the wall! just like the good old days!

DSC06221-1.jpg

The whole family :)

And then the magic started happening! I think this is why I love going to Magic Kingdom on our first full day..it just feels right. Magic, happiness, love! It's everything a Disney vacation should be! The performers started singing the "Good Morning, Good Morning!" song, and I started getting all teary eyed. I kept my composure though…that is until Mickey came out. I literally started bawling my eyes out! It was completely embarrassing  I don't even know why! It could have been because it has been awhile since I've seen rope drop and I love it a great deal, or maybe it was because I've been looking forward to this vacation for so long that this actually made it real, or maybe it was because I didn't know when I would see it again. All I know is that I felt like a lame. haha! Kayla looked over at me when they opened the gates and said.."Christie! Are you seriously crying at rope drop?! Already?!" I guess I'm an emotional person! Oh well! I just love Disney that much!

DSC06225-1.jpg

The very beginning! I was still stable at this point!

DSC06226-1.jpg

And here's where i lost it! :rotfl:

We walked in and there were cast members waving, music playing, and families smiling all around me! I literally can never get enough of that, it's just pure happiness in one place. I turned the corner and got my first glimpse of that amazingly beautiful dream castle of my childhood. And guess what happened?! I cried. No big deal, everyone was getting used to it at this point. My family just loves me enough to deal with it and everyone else probably just thought I was crazy!

We obviously had to stop to get a picture
DSC06229-1.jpg

Our fist castle picture of the trip!

We always head to Tomorrowland to ride Buzz Lightyear first. I don't know why, but it is the first ride I remember riding during our first family vacation and it just kind of stuck! And I love it because our family gets really into it! There was no line! Seriously we walked right on so my parents rode together, me and kayla rode together, and jon went solo. My dad was not thrilled with his performance so we walked right on again. How sweet is that deal?! All three of us rode together the second time so kayla steered us, while we tried to teach Jon where he could get the most points! because clearly we are awesome at the game after our many years of practice! Just kidding! We exited and then Kayla decided she wanted to get one of our favorite snacks from past trips. The cream cheese pretzel from the launching pad! Yummmy!

DSCN3948-1.jpg

Here it is!
It was just as good as we remembered and it filled out tummies enough until lunch! Delish! We definitely recommend that!

We headed over to get fastpasses for Space Mountain, and then we let Jon decide what he wanted to ride. He really enjoyed the Haunted Mansion the last time he was there so he picked that, which I thought was a nice choice. Very Disney-esque in my opinion. As we were on our way over there we passed through Fantasyland and Peter Pan's Flight had a 10 minute wait, which I feel never happens! So we jumped on that real quick! It had been awhile since we rode that, and we all really enjoyed it! We also saw the construction on the Fantasyland expansion, which I thought would bother me, but it was really cool! Beast’s castle was up on the hill and it was just really awesome to see! Me and Kayla are already planning to come back in 2013 to see it all finished! I honestly cannot wait! After we stopped and stared for awhile, we continued on our quest to the Haunted Mansion, but when we got over there it was closed for the time being. That was okay, we would just come back later. We headed towards Pirates, but we passed Jungle Cruise and Jon never rode it so we got in line! Great idea because there was a small line, and our driver was lovely! Jon laughed at all their jokes and we really enjoyed ourselves! It was a long time since we rode that! We hit up Pirates, which is literally one of my favorite ride. It just screams Disney to me! Probably because it is my favorite movie! And I love Orlando Bloom haha!

We headed back to Space Mountain to ride with our fastpasses! It was just my dad, Kayla, Jon and me on this one! My mom had some problems with vertigo for awhile and she didn’t want to ride a jerky ride and risk being dizzy for the rest of the trip! I was sad she wouldn’t be joining us, but I understood what she was saying! The thing about fast passes is I always feel kind of bad passing everyone in line, but I love getting right on the ride. It's the best so I guess that outweighs my guilt! Haha. And Space Mountain seemed like it was really fast that day! Maybe I just forgot what it was like..Seriously though, Kayla yelled after like every turn. It was pretty funny! After our great ride we wanted to ride the Haunted Mansion still, so we went over to see if it was up and running yet and it was with only a 10 minute wait! woo! Jon was very excited, and I was excited to see the new line! All the interactiveness was not working though I was a little disappointed, but it was still fun to walk through.

We walked over towards our other favorite mountains and decided to see how long their lines were! Before we got there though we ran into this fella!
DSC06236-1.jpg

Donald duck

Splash Mountain had a 60-minute wait so we picked up some fast passes for that, and then went to wait in line for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad which was 30 minutes. Not to bad! The wait was a little hot though. It was just so many people in a small area! and squeezed together at that! But the line went fairly quickly and we got to ride "the wildest ride in the wilderness"! I love when he says that in his country accent! :goodvibes

We were getting really hungry at that point so we went to Pecos Bill's, which had always been a family fav! We all ordered and went to the fixins bar (which I love) and went to grab our seats!

My dad ordered the Deluxe 1/3-Pound Angus Cheeseburger that had bacon, an onion ring, and barbeque sauce on it. Which he thought was pretty good! I didn't get a picture of his because his burger was halfway gone before Kayla got the camera out. Obviously someone was hungry...

DSCN3950-1.jpg

My momma ordered the Chicken Wrap, which she really enjoyed! I tried it and it was really delish!

DSCN3952-1.jpg

Jon ordered a Taco Salad! He liked it a lot expect for the shell, he said it was too hard to eat!

DSCN3949-1.jpg

Me and Kayla both got the 1/3-pound Cheeseburger. I thought it was decent, I just don't know if I'm feeling these new buns! I guess it's just something to get used to! Kayla felt the same exact way.

DSCN3954-1.jpg

For dessert Kayla, Jon and I got the carrot cake. Yummy! The icing is a little thick, but if you like carrot cake this is a winner! I just couldn’t finish it because I was full from my burger!

DSCN3955-1.jpg

My mom and dad got the chocolate cake. They thought it was okay. It was chocolate overload they said, which I believe since I’m not the hugest chocolate on chocolate fan.

Overall lunch was pretty successful! We always seem to stop in there during our vacations and we keep coming back, which I guess is a sign that we enjoy it! The burgers are nothing special though! Just a good size to keep you full!

At lunch my dad accidentally hit the cup ketchup with his knife and it splattered all over his shirt. whoops. So we decided to ride Spash Mountain real quick and then head back to the hotel so he could throw it in the wash! Splash was a good time like always and I didn't get soaked which I'm always scared of!

On our way out we saw the Fairy Godmother! This is my momma’s dream job! Seriously I cannot tell you how excited she was! She was crying and smiling..it was a lovely moment. She won’t let me put the picture on here because she says she “looks redic” so I’ll put mine and Kayla’s picture on here instead.
DSC06239-1.jpg

That'll be our momma one day!

And after that run in a few minutes later we ran into this lovely princess with no line!
DSC06245-1.jpg

Snow White!

We headed for our hotel for a small regrouping and decided we would come back later to encounter some more interesting adventures! Yay!

See ya real soon! and thanks for reading along! It means alot to us to be able so share our amazing vacation with you guys! :)

We are SOOOOOOOO sorry for our delay on updates! School has started up and it has been soo busy! I still hope that you all follow along. Now that we are in a routine, it will be so much easier to update! YAY

"I'm NOT running into the park in the rain! NO WAY...okay, fine"
So my sister left off with us heading back to the hotel in order to regroup. Now, by this time, we were all pretty tired. We had a long long day yesterday and an early morning today. I think a nap was definitely in order. So, we did that and by the time we woke up, we were refreshed and ready to start the end of our day. I was getting a little hungry, even though that burger completely filled me up, so I called my parents and asked if everyone was ready to head back. We decided to head out around 4:30-5ish.
Oh yea, I also had this on my leg from my nap. HAHA
DSC06246.jpg

UNFORTUNATELY, when we looked outside at our lovely view, it was dark. Like creepy, scary movie, rain is going to get you dark. I was unhappy, my sister was unhappy, everyone was pretty unhappy…but that did NOT stop us! We conquered the rain, and went to MK anyway! YAY!
We headed down towards the boats and it was quite raining just yet, but as soon as we got there, it really did come down!
DSC06248.jpg

DSC06249.jpg

Just some pictures from the boat!

After we got off of the boat, it was literally pouring. My hair was all kinds of messed up and I was getting chilly because of the rain. I know, WHY ARE YOU COMPLAINING?! Look, I was tired (even though I had a nap) and mad that it was raining. And looking back..I wasn’t that mad. Just a little….discouraged!

So after sprinting off of the boat, we waiting until the rain let up a little to run across to the entrance. My parents got brave before we did, so we decided to meet at the TTA. One of the best rides in the park, although the new audio for it is lacking a little. I did enjoy the old voice! “Now Approaching…..” hahaha
Here are some of us waiting to run into the park!
DSC06250.jpg

DSC06252.jpg

DSC06253.jpg

And on the TTA!

DSC06258.jpg

We decided we were going to eat after our ride because we were all suddenly STARVING! I was very excited because we were going to Pinocchio’s Village Haus for some DELICIOUS pizza. Seriously, I would highly recommend this to anyone! It’s very good..very very. Also, it’s really fun to sit at a window seat and wave to the riders on it’s a small world! They probably think I am crazy, but OH WELL! haha
On our way pictures!

Jon’s Chicken Parm! SOOOO GOOD!
DSCN3959.jpg

Our surprise chicken and fries! We didn’t order this, but got it anyway!

Finally, dessert. Not my favorite though.
After we were finished eating, we decided to head on back towards Adventureland. We rode pirates, because it’s the best, and then got some of my FAVORITE thing in the world. PINEAPPLE DOLE WHIP. Honestly, the best dessert on the planet. It was huge, and hard to finish, but I managed while we found a spot for the parade.
DSC06263.jpg

We sat right by the bathrooms that lead from Adventureland towards Liberty Square and Frontierland. It was a great place to watch the parade. We talked to a friendly cast member who was in charge of roping everything off. He was talked to us about working in Paris and Disneyland, which was really cool. He knew a lot!
Soon, around 9:20ish from where we were, the Main Street Electrical Parade had started! YAY! I haven’t seen this since I was a lot younger, so I was excited to get to actually remember it! I LOVE THE MUSIC. I know, strange girl, but it is seriously one of the best. It pulled all of the classics out of the attic and made them come to life again, which I thought was actually pretty cool. I don’t know how much younger kids will enjoy it for its content though. It was movies even before my time! But I did enjoy it and the lights and effects were FANTASTIC! It was great!

DSC06295.jpg

So after the parade, we started to walk toward the entrance for Wishes! I love the show and my parents said that this was a good view. On the way we caught parts of the new castle show which looked SOOOO cool! I completely forgot that this was going on, so we made plans to watch it the next night we were here. When we got to our spot for wishes, I was a little disappointed. I like to be kinda up-close and personal with it, and we weren’t. The view wasn’t bad, but I wanted something better next time.
After that we headed towards Tomorrowland to ride buzz AGAIN because it’s our favorite and there was extra magic hours!! I would give my tips away, but I don’t know if I want to! HAHA. Maybe, if you ask nicely, I’ll share!
Here we are, bein silly!
DSC06324.jpg

We were going to ride Haunted Mansion again, but realized that were were actually quite tired, so we decided to call it a night. Since we were already on our way towards fantasyland, we decided to cut through the castle. On our way we saw these!
DSC06325.jpg

DSC06326.jpg

SO impressive!
DSC06328.jpg

We meandered back to the entrance, said farewell for now, and headed back to the Wilderness. We were completely drained, and I almost fell asleep right away. Of course, I watched a little Stacey first! ;)
Up Next, EPCOT! My favorite!
See ya real soon! Thanks for tagging along! And don’t forget to leave your comments! We love to hear from you guys!

Just found your guys's TR. Def. joining in for more! I can tell you guys are close.

I almost cried this past March when I first got to the MK. It is definitely and emotional moment!

Man, I'm telling you, the summer is the worst when the skies just part and boom! It just starts coming down.

I love the CMs that draw on the sidewalk with water. It's just so cool. I don't even know how that started, but I love it!

Dole Whip's are the best, for sure. Can't beat that.

Looks like you had fun, despite the rain. And no you are not the only crazy person that loves the main street electrical parade music. When I was younger and my family used to drive to Disney, that was always the music we would start playing when we saw the welcome arch. It's one of the songs that the moment I hear it, it transports me right back to Disney. I'm sooooooo glad they brought the parade back!

And do think you might pretty, pretty please share you Buzz tips. Seriously the best score I have ever gotten (and I've been on it dozens of times) is 14,200. Pathetic, I know. :rotfl:

Your family looks like so much fun! And that pizza looks delish - I've started to get kind of leery of the chicken strip meals because it's so much brown food, but pizza has some red sauce so it's totally better and healthier. :rotfl:

Buzz used to be one of my favorite rides - and then I learned that my boyfriend has some weird ability to hit all of the special targets without knowing where they are. :sad2: Now I just resort to sabotage - much easier than remembering special targets. :thumbsup2 I'm so jealous of your galactic hero rating!

The water sidewalk painters are so talented. Though I guess it's one basic face shape with some add-ons. I like the squishy-face Mickey and Minnie - too cute!

I hope you all are having a great week! I had some time between homework assignments and what a better way to spend it then with Disney! Let's go!!

"Don't lean on those, they'll attack you!"

Ah, Epcot! The whole family was beyond excited about the day we had planned there! Our goal this year was to attend rope drop just because we have never seen it. We woke up around 6:45 and started getting ready for the day ahead of us. My parents brought breakfast to our room to save some time, which was nice and worked out really well for us! How sweet of them! Since my parents ate downstairs i didn't get a picture of their food, but my dad just got a bagel and my mom got her oatmeal again! Me and Kayla split a cheese danish and a bagel. Best of both worlds!
DSCN3962-1.jpg

I got to it before kayla got the camera! whoops!

We headed down to catch our bus around 8:15. There was a guy with a clipboard down there that told us we just missed the bus. Darn!
DSC06330-1.jpg

We snapped this picture just before our bus came! It only took ten minutes which isn't too bad!

We got to Epcot around 8:45 so we briskly walked to get the bags checked and into the park! DISCLAIMER: Does anyone else LOVE the Epcot enterance music?! I literally cannot describe the love i have for that beautiful work of art. That's one of the things my family missed about Epcot when we stayed at the Beach Club. It was nice to be within walking distance, but you don't get that grand enterance feeling, which is a bummer. Okay, where were we?! haha. We were let into the park to wait at the rope so we stopped for a picture :)

seester time! (jon didn't want a picture!)
DSC06335-1.jpg

the parentals!

Alright it saddens me to say this, but i don't like rope drop here. It's just not magical enough for me. It felt like everyone was just trying to push in front of each other to get to Soarin' first. I mean the characters come out and countdown and everything, but it just felt like no one was into it like i wanted them to be. Eh, i guess i was just slightly disappointed!

We followed the crowd toward Soarin', but we let my parents run up ahead. There was no need to add to the crowds in that small area! My parents sucessfully got fastpasses for 9:32 - 10:32, which we were pretty stoked about! We all decided that the next logical choice was Test Track, which will always be a family favorite of ours! The wait was only twenty minutes, which wasn't too bad at all. :) We rode in the front and my parents rode in the back! It was a great time and we all really enjoyed ourselves.
DSC06340-1.jpg

Getting ready to get on! :)

After our ride, we decided there was no time like the present to use our Soarin' fastpasses! YAY! Kayla and I were soo excited! Now i know this is stupid, but all those blue lights just me me so happy! and don't even get me started on that music! but i'll get there in a little. :)

After the blue room you enter those hallways where you wait to get assigned your flight. I don't know if any of you remember but there are chains in between some of the bars..okay funny story about those. WARNING! I was leaning against one of the bars and talking to Jon when the line moved so we inched our way forward and i guess i put too much pressure on the chain. If you don't already know this, these suckers attack! They are magnets which are not as heavy duty as they look. Anyways the chain broke and hit me smack dab in the ankle..seriously it was a good shot, but oh my goodness did that thing hurt! Honestly i wasn't expecting it at all and it was pretty large. I just wanted to inform all my fellow Disers so you don't make the same mistake i did! Be careful!

We were in the front row for the next flight, which i recommend to anyone! Seriously you have an unobstructed veiw all around you, and it makes it that much more beautiful if you can even imagine that! And that music?! oh goodness another masterpiece of music! It gives me chills every single time, and i might even tear up a bit (i just can't help it!)

Once we got off our flight, my ankle really started to hurt so i sat on the benches near the fastpasses. Kayla reloaded us for a ride later on, while my mother was being overly dramatic about my ankle. Was it swollen and bruised? yes. but i was in my favorite place in the world and i wasn't going to waste it sitting in first aid! There was too much to accomplish! Here's a picture, you can't really tell but it was pretty swollen, at least from a magnet.
DSC06342-1.jpg

We walked, well i limped, on over to the Universe of Energy with Ellen! i love her, and not that i'm proud of it, but its is a great place to take a nap! and we took a picture outside!
DSC06344-1.jpg

My dad wanted to ride Mission: Space, but all of us get sick on it so he got in line while we all waited in the game area. Just a head up, if you're waiting for someone play mission space race! Seriously it is so much fun! I used to play it all the time when it was on the computer. They should consider bringing that back! He enjoyed his ride and we decided it was time to enjoy my favorite ride yet again!

I stood on the opposite side of the chain this time just to be safe! There was a tourist group in front of us, which is not always the most enjoyable thing. I'm glad that they are always so excited, but they can be a little much sometimes. The cast member asked how many people were in their group and some lady said "54" Her eyes lit up! haha! The lady thought she meant everyone in their traveling group, but there were only about 5 of them in line to ride. easy fix! and we got a good laugh out of it!
DSC06354-1.jpg

Kayla and Jon waiting in line (jon was pretty quiet today so i had to put him in here :))

DSC06352-1.jpg

WATCH OUT FOR THESE SUCKERS!

We decided to eat at Sunshine Seasons in the Land because they have a large selection and healthier then most! It's always pretty refreshing.

My parents and I all had the rotissere chicken and rice! We all really enjoyed it!
DSCN3965-1.jpg

Kayla and Jon both got Chinese food, which i adore. It was cashew chicken and noodles, which they weren't really a fan of. Kayla just thought it didn't taste very good so she was pretty disappointed, but i shared :)
DSCN3963-1.jpg

For dessert I had the tiramisu and Kayla had the strawberry shortcake and both were sooooo good! I literally was in love! Maybe i just had a hardcore sweet tooth at the moment, but they were delishhhh! :thumbsup2

It was around 2 when we finished up lunch, and we decided to head out so we could change and get fancy for our Le Cellier dinner that evening! We stopped to ride Spaceship Earth, which really never gets old! :) it's one of my mom's favorites so we couldn't miss it! After our 10 minute wait we went to the bus stop to head back to the hotel and freshin up!
DSC06355-1.jpg

Always a good time :)

NEXT UP: Our first table service meal!

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile, but I wanted to let you know I'm still here so please keep posting. I'm loving what you have so far and I hope to read more. :goodvibes

Sorry about your ankle, that looks fairly painful. I'll keep in mind that those chains are attached magnetically the next time I'm on Soarin' since I have a tendency to lean on the ropes.

Ouch!! that sounded painful I will have to remember about those attacking chains :thumbsup2 we ate the pizza at Pinocchio’s Village Haus the last time we went also. It was yummy.. looking forward to hearing about hte rest of your trip :goodvibes

Oh, what a terrible updater I have been! With school and jobs and weddings and everything else, this past month has flew by! So, I sincerely apologize for the extremely long wait! Thanks for stinking in there! :)

"Who woulda thought we'd spend our WHOLE night in Canada?"

We left off with My family and I heading back to the hotel to freshen up for what was sure to be our most anticipated, favorite, most delicious meal of the trip. I'm just trying to put you in our shoes, we were very excited about this dinner!

So back at the Wilderness Lodge, we filled up our mugs, went to the room, and took a nice little nap. That heat must do something to me, because I am always exhausted! But the nap was short, and we were up and getting ready to go in no time!

After getting all dolled up for our evening, we headed down to the bus stop. It was around 5 oclock when we got on the bus and started our trek towards the World Showcase, bobbing and weaving all of the Brazilian tour groups that seemed to be in the park that night (or all of the time, for that matter!).

We took some pictures of us at the bus stop lookin spiffy, of course! :)
DSC06362-1.jpg

Sisterss!
DSC06363-1.jpg

Cute!

When we got the EPCOT we made our way throught the checks again, and got more pictures in front of the ball!
DSC06365-1.jpg

Everyone! :)

We were early and decided to take our time getting back to dinner. After all, we had all night!

So we finally make it back to Canada. There is this group of people that are all huddled around, and they are wearing these t-shirts! They had all of the countries listed on the back with a check next to some and dates across the top! They were drinking in all of the countries! I wish I still had the picture, but my sister had it on her phone, and well that's another story for another day. It was really funny, and they seemed to be having a great time! Maybe if all of my friends go down one day.....

We got to Le Cellier around 6:30 even though our reservation wasn't until 7. We figured if we got in there early, we would have more time to hang out when we were finished! They seated us almost immediately and we were right in the center room. I forget what they called the room, but each one is named after a province in Canada. Any who, our waitress came right over and got us some drinks right away! My mom and me split a Key Lime Martini, because we were trying to taste as many drinks as we could!
DSC06370.jpg

My wonderful parents!
DSCN3969.jpg

Martini!

After a couple mins of deciding, we all placed our orders.
DSCN3972.jpg

All us girls got the Filet with Mushroom Risotto, YUMMM!
DSCN3973.jpg

Jon got this steak. I'm not sure of the name! AH. He says it was excellent though!
DSCN3974.jpg

My dad got this steak with the wine sauce on it. Why am I so terrible with names! Anyway, he loved it!
We also got the cheddar soup and that DELICIOUS bread. AH, heaven. <3
DSCN3970.jpg
DSCN3971.jpg

And for the best dessert!
DSCN3975.jpg

Maple Crem Brulee!

BUT...this was not all perfect. My sister's steak was so well done, and our waitress was NO WHERE. When she finally came over to check on us, my sister had eaten most of her steak, but still told her that she got the order wrong. The waitress offered to get another one but didn't seem to..rushed or sorry about it. My sister said no, but it was a shame. THEN, they didn;t take anything off of our check, and we waited close to an 30 mins after we were finished eating just for our check! It was not fun, and we were all anxious to get outside. Finally, we got everything taken care of, and we headed up stairs..

TO FIND A STORM. It was soooooo dark out, and the winds were picking up! I wish that I had taken a picture of what it looked like. It was really freaky! We decided to take shelter in the Canada movie, which was actually pretty funny. The storm basically missed us while we were in the movie, but it did rain pretty hard.

We walked through the rest of the showcase on our way out, but we all just were tuckered out and kinda blah from our dinner experience. The park had CLEARED out so seeing illuminations while walking back was really nice. We got some great views, and I LOVE THAT MUSIC!
On our way out, we took some more pictures, because we love to!
DSC06371.jpg

DSC06373.jpg

One of my favorites!

When we got back, we got ready for bed and fell asleep quickly! The next day was going to be busy, busy, busy, and we were looking forward to Hollywood Studios!

NEXT UP: Uh oh, water damage :(

Le Cellier
Food: 4/5- We all loved everything from the appetizer to the dessert. But Christie's steak was a little off, so it couldn't be perfect
Service: 3/5- The service was lacking, and not much was done to accomodate us. We have had so much better service there, so it was a little disappointing.
Overall Experience: 3.5/5- It was a little slow, and our waitress was not very attentive compared to other visits. But the food was GREAT for the most part, and the atmosphere was perfect.
