A big part of the reason we moved last year is this very problem. We had renters on all sides of us(was not that way when we bought). We would get a few good ones once in a while, but most didn't care. There was a couple of young girls across the alley once. They would park in our driveway and we told them they needed to move they told us it wasn't anyone there. It suddenly became theirs when we had their landlord tell them we were getting ready to have it towed. The next kid sprayed my yard, with kids in it, with gravel, parked in our spots, blocked the entire driveway with cars, constantly sped and fishtailed down the alley and even hit a neighbor's garage. The final straw was the ones who would get their souped up mower out at 2am and have fun on that and the trampoline yelling and blocking the alley when they weren't racing down it..
We now live on a dead end area with very little traffic. We have really nice neighbors and no more problems with people parking us in.
And just to note, I am not biased against renters. I was once one myself. We just had people who lived there for shorts times and didn't care about getting along with anyone. We had one family we loved and I cried when they moved. They were the dream idea of neighbors. Both our kids could walk in to either house and we actually asked for their toddler to come over. I still wish for someone like that to live next to again.
