Suprise your pregnant.

Congratulations!

My mom had a "surprise" with me when she was 40 and dad was 42. My siblings were 7, 12 & 18 when I was born.

Best wishes for a problem-free pregnancy.

Congratulations and God bless! My brother and his wife had a 20 year old (at the time) last year when they announced that she was going to be a big sister! So, my dear neice and nephew are 21 years apart! What a wonderful blessing for all of us.

Congratulations!!

My kids (16, 14 and 11) saw my niece's new baby yesterday, and have been begging me for another. As much as I don't want another, I think I'll always have those pangs. (And if I got pregnant again, I think DH would have a problem with it, considering he had a vasectomy. )

I know a couple in town who had a 20 year old and an 18 year old when they found out they were expecting another. They were shocked, of course. But she said she'll never forget the love in his eyes when he held their new DD for the first time. She's 13 now, and like an only child. Her parents are very devoted to her, and I'm sure they're bringing her up with a new, perhaps more mature, approach.

Good luck!!

Congratulations! I just recently was shocked to find out that I was pregnant with a 3rd as well!

Congratulations!! :) :)

My mom and her youngest brother are thirteen years apart and are very close. He was surprise, too!

Sometimes, the things least expected in life become the biggest joys. I wish you all the best at this special time. Enjoy the ride! :)

The boys are interesting to talk to about it. The 12 yr old is like I don't care if its a boy or girl its not like we can change it. And the 15 yr old says he doesn't care he doesn't want either!!!! Very happy about it so far wouldn't you say. I'm trying to be positive and my DH is trying to be encouraging. Talk about shell shock....then the boys being less than supportive ...I would settle for neutral.......It will get better It will get better It will get better.

Congrats! I have kids 21 DD,16 DS, and 5 DD, When I told the older two I was having another one my son starting crying and telling me life was over! LOL! At least your boys handled it better. I planned my last baby at age 38 and have always been happy to have made that decision. How excited you must be!! Hope you get a gir so you can buy pink!! LOL!

Okay so I just read your last post and your son is just like mine was. Mine was10 at the time and still got an attitude. He really didn't want me having that baby because he said that we wouldn't be able to go on vacations again. LOL! He didn't think about all the places we went when HE was a baby! It took a long time before he got over it. He was most embarrassed to have his baby sister come with us to shop or something. He didn't want anyone to know I was pregnant. I guess the concept of his parents "doing it" just was too much for him to handle! I say enjoy and don't like the kids put a damper on anything. They eventually come around because they have to.

congratulations to you and your family!!! I too have a little surprise that is now 8. My oldest is 21!! You should see how close they are to each other. Once you get over the shock and the comments from others (my Dr. asked what was a woman my age thinking, he is no longer my Dr.) you will be surprised how much different this time will be. I am much calmer and laid back with my DD than I ever was with her 2 older brothers. Enjoy!!

Congratulations!! My mom was 42 when she had me and my DB was 13. We have three DS, 34-33-20, and a DD, 17. The younger ones have kept me young and active and people can't believe we have kids 34 and 33 as well as two DGD that are almost 7 and 5. Most of my DD's friends have parents that are close to our oldest DS ages and it can feel very strange at times. After having the older ones I think you learn not to sweat the small stuff and concentrate on the more important issues. You'll be surprised at how your boys react once they actually have that new little bundle in their arms and how protective they can be.

After some more discussion with the 14 yr old, he says he doesn't want it to ruin our vacations. I told him we would still be going to Disney for a week and to VB for a week next June. And he says "What will we do with it?" I told him we would put it in a stroller just like we have him and his brother in the past. He seems to think you can't vacation with a baby. LOL

Congrats!:bounce:

Yes, I know about shocks! We have an 18 year old, 10 year old and 7 year old....Welcome to the club.

That third one is a fun one!

Been where you are. I thought older DD was going to be an only child, but when she as 9 years old and I was 37 years old- surprise. I was in shock for a while, but I can tell you having another baby has been absolutely great. Of course, now we can't imagine life without her.

Congrats! This happened to a dear friend of mine and big bro and sis adore their younger siblings! They went on to have a 4th because having #3 was so great! And she went to the doctor to see about slightly early menopause! ;) Her kids are 24, 21, 10, and 7. The big kids are very hands on with the young ones!
