I went into my local WalMart and was so suprised. They have revamped the enitre depart. Brought in some new lines (Thomas the Tank), now have their stickers facing out so you can actually see all of them. Some really cute embellishments as well. I was so suprised.

My Walmart expanded the scrapbook/embellishment department to an entire aisle. My only complaint is that they sell paper by the pack now instead of by the sheet. Not a big deal, but I need 3 reds and not 20 multicolor sheets. :)

Our Walmart did the same thing.. However the packs are so minimal in the racks..and when you ask for help they get so irritated.. :( My DH actually heard one moan and groan about such a waste of money! :( DH waited til she returned and told me what a beautiful job I have been doing and it will be a tremendous keepsake for our kids when they are older!

Ours did too. I'm still not overly impressed, though. I still go back to that section every time I'm there, though, as they STILL have those MM kits. I'm STILL waiting for them to go on clearance! I just don't get it- there's a whole endcap full of them (looks like maybe 4 have been taken off the shelf). I just want to scream, "HELLO! They're not moving so why not CLEARANCE them and just get it over with!" :rotfl:

Mine has a whole endcap too of the MM kits! I keep waiting for them to go on clearance too. I have heard that some WM have had them on clearance already.

Yes, some have. I found 2 at a SWM for $5 each. I just wanted to get a few different ones for a little variety. Even IF they go on clearance at the store I shop at, they will probably mark them $9! The clearance prices at this store are crazy- and then they wonder why they have 2 full isles of clearance that isn't moving! :rotfl2: I was browsing the clearance one day and an employee just happened to be stocking it. He said, "Let me get out of your way so you can see." I said, "Oh, that's okay, I'm just browsing." He said, "Please, buy it all!" I replied, "If this store wants to really move this stuff, then they should price so it WILL move!" Needless to say, I didn't buy anything!

I like the idea of single sheets, but it didn't work at the Walmart by me. The paper was always so mangled I never would have bought it. I thought that was probably why they switched to a full paper packet instead.

That is a great point. I just like to get the paper that I want, and not other stuff I don't want. Selfish I guess. We just don't have any close SS to get sheet cardstock. Wish I did... :rolleyes1

I was pleasantly surprised the other day also when I noticed our local WM change the aisles in the scrapbook dept. I didn't have much time to shop or look around but I liked what I saw. :thumbsup2
