Let me tell you, the aftermath of a canceled trip isn't fun so I hope you do get to go as planned. We were supposed to leave for WDW last Wednesday but I M/Ced the baby we were expecting and had to have a D&C on Monday. I persisted in thinking that I would still make myself go until Wednesday morning - I was in pain and still somewhat woozy from the general anesthesia - so DH canceled, like, an hour before we were to leave for the airport. (Disney Guest Services was really nice about it the late notice!). Anyway, we've all been sad since then - Disney would have been a good distraction. Sorry, to hijack your thread with my sob story ... I didn't have the heart of post about it myself last week. :-(

My brother suffers from Gout flair ups also. The swelling is short of frankenstienish!!!

I understand that Cherry juice is good for it also. Gout is caused by a build up of Uric acid and cherries and cherry juice is said to help expel it. At least that is what I am told!

When my Grandpa was alive he swore by SOUR cherries. It was the only thing that helped his gout. Hope your hubby feels better soon!
