YOU BEAT ME TO IT!!!

THANKS!

***Kind of takes all of the fun out of it now!

BUT SOOOOOOOOO HAPPY for the savings for everyone who can use it!
:cloud9:

wow - great!! :cool1: I could switch our plans, because we're going just a few days later. I assume that it's not like the dining discounts, where they will often give you a discount for your whole trip as long as you check in by the last day of the promotion. I figurethat your stay has to be completed by 10/2. Is that right?

I wanted to add a little anecdotal information to this mulitple email addresses thing and how it is probably not fooling Disney unless you don't use your birthdate information. :confused3

I already had a room reservation under my main family email address. And I had an account on the mydisneyvacation where I had created/deleted/changed/sneezed at/blinked at iteneraries trying to get a Pin to save some cash on my vacation.

I came to this thread, read all the tips and began to create numerous email addresses on gmail, etc.

The one that is the point of this story had a different name...I used the same last name but put Matt instead of Matthew..but my address was different..I used my parents. My phone numbers were ALL different...I didn't even use the one that was tied to my regular resort reservation...all new numbers..my work number, my daughter's cell number, etc. The ONLY thing that was the same was my birthdate because I was afraid if I got a pin, since I changed everything else, I would need something to verify it was really me. Maybe dumb, maybe superstitious, but still..that's the only thing I left the same.

I got the teaser email last week which was just a regurgitation of the public deals out at that time.

Called today with the public deal to get 40% off my deluxe stay. And when they confirmed all my information, the email address they had in their reservation system was this 'new' one I had created. I was stunned...I asked them how they got that because I had never used it to book anything..she said she didn't know just that it was in the system. I had it changed back to my regular family email address.

But I went out and logged into both accounts and every piece of information is different except my last name and birthdate and they had it linked to my resort reservation.

I'm sure there is more reason than that why I never got a pin, and now it's a moot point for me since my dates worked out, but it was a lesson that they still knew who I was.

Very interesting this fancy Disney system.

Yep, this happened to me too. The yahoo email that I created had my daughter's name but my birthdate. I also put my name with her birthdate as if I was her child. That is the one that got the PIN, and they changed my email address in their system to match this one. I had them change it back, but it's interesting that they linked the new email to my current ressie.

Okay, so just a few minutes ago I finally got the "Explore Your Resort" e-mail! :woohoo: That's good, right? Now I need to know...any thoughts on if I should "explore" or play hard-to-get? I need that PIN for our late October stay! We're booked at the Contemporary right now...and it's expensive but we need the monorail for an infant and two more small boys! Thanks! (also, any estimates on how many more days till my beloved PIN will come now?) :goodvibes

to my friends today Disney PIN Fairy!

** Explore your resort Emails are SUPPOSED to be a good sign.
I hope that you all get what your waiting for soon!

***I don't know about the email thing. I believe that it does get updated in the system somehow, I suppose if all of the other information matches??

But if you use all different info it creates a new profile all together? Hence where the multiple pin emails come from? I was told over and over again, that they are distributed by household, and it went by postal/zip code.
:confused3:confused3:confused3
I don't know anymore, so much varying info, from so many CM's

Just keep trying different things. Something is BOUND to CRACK THAT CODE for you!
;)
:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: You on today!

(( I have been helping a friend paint, so I have been sort of absent, almost done! ))

interesting. but we have people reporting multiple PINS to different email addresses.... how can that be?

I don't know, but something else that happened to me - when I called to order my MNSSHP tickets, they had my work email address linked to my name and not my gmail one. Guess I have to remember to always ask what email address they have for me since I now have multiple ones.:headache:

I have a current reservation, could that be why? They already know I am going so why am I continually putting all of our names that are the people on this reservation & the same mailing address, birthdates, etc. in their system with different email addresses saying they are staying at AKL, WL, with overpriced packages or staying offsite because it isn't a good deal, when all of our names are on a current reservation with AIRFARE on it.

Don't you think they know this and that is why I am not getting a pin in these emails? They have to be on to this.

I don't actually think so. My mom booked us at POFQ. Then I started trying for the pin. I have two emails and Disney accounts (one under a different address) and my mom has two. We received nada on every email EXCEPT my real email and when my mom called to apply the pin, they already had MY pin associated with the reservation she had previously made at POFQ. Obviously they knew we were going together, that account had my parents' address on it and she had given my name when she booked the resort.

We are from the same state with the same initials (That is if JB are your initials!). Maybe you can use my pin?

Honestly, I know a good deal will come out even if it is a GP. Dont give up! Can you at least brush your teeth tonight without boiling water first? !! If so, then you still have some good luck in you!

Hey! I have to boil water every day to brush my teeth  One of the many reasons I cannot WAIT to get to the GF!

No pins today guys??
Or is everyone putting it to rest with all of the great Disney Deals?

Well, we went ahead and booked POR for Sept. with the general discount rate.
Watch, I'll probably get my PIN now

Anyway, we're thinking of maybe going the AP route for tickets so I'll hang on to this reservation unless something better comes up with the AP rate (I know they often do a little better than the 30% off moderates for Sept. but we'll have to see).

I'm happy with the rate though, so if nothing better comes up... I'm good :)

I still wish I could get a pin (nothing today), but at this point I'm just hoping for a public discount for October (beyond 10/2, obviously). CMs keep telling me that those discounts will be coming, so hopefully they're right!:cool1:

I got the letter head email today but no pin or explore the resort one. I have not been on the site since Friday afternoon when I deleted the saved packages.

I am a little worried, has ANYONE been getting anything at all?
WAYYYYY too quiet!

Too many public discounts?

ANYONE? ANYTHING?????

I was just on another thread...Yes they are still circulating.
So don't give up!

Check "Has anyone gotten a PIN code since May 1st

( Although most of them are for summer dates I think... )

nope - nothing - not even a free snowglobe thingy

nope - nothing - not even a free snowglobe thingy

Pins are still coming, do not give up hope... :cool1::goodvibes: I received a second White Rabbit pin (resort only discount) good through the end of the year (blackout dates apply) on one of the other emails I had, after not logging onto the Disney parks site for over a week while trying for my first pin. It had gotten the "Explore Your Resort" email, then nothing for over a week, so I had deleted everything in the profile and reset it for staying offsite and then explored various vacation packages before logging out. I filled out the survey saying the packages were not a good value and in the comment box said we were going to stay off-site. My last name is not a common one, and my birthday was attached to all my profiles.

What worked for me- if you get a snowglobe, letter head, etc.- delete everything in your profile and start again. If you get an Explore your Resort email, leave it alone for a couple of weeks and have patience. Now, what may also be triggering it was that on the two accounts that I got pins FOR, when I was looking at things and making itineraries, I put in that we had at least one kid coming with us... The ones that I put just two adults, no kids- no pins.

:hippie: pixiedust:

Good luck!

I will sadly now have to leave the group since I finally got a pin today! :thumbsup2

It's the White Rabbit 20/30/40 good through the end of the year.

I posted about what I did to get it in this thread.

I think that using Internet Explorer with a "clean" computer and following the instructions exactly were very important. Also, using a different address and a middle name may have helped.

Good luck and pixie dust for those still waiting! pixiedust:

so yesterday I went on with 2 of my emails and saved some offers. they are still sitting there. it has been 36 hours. today in both emails I got the get your Disney Planning DVD blah blah. Don't know if I should keep the offers or delete. I don't want that Summer Spectacular thing.... I already have 35% off my deluxe.... I do want the White Rabbit. I have 2 rooms booked, so that would be what I need to save more. Anyone gotten this planning DVD offer? What did you do? What WOULD you do?

Please note~ I have been plotting and tweaking to receive a pin since April 16. I had given up all hope last week and just plain quit trying.

Ok. News!!!

I was lucky enough to give up waiting for a pin when the awesome discount that included late August was announced Monday May 3.

So then today, low and behold, on May 4, I got a pin!

Now this pin I received via email, is practically the same as the public discount 40/30/20 with black out dates, so it doesn't make a difference in my case, because whatever I would have needed for late August, the public discount took care of!

HOWEVER, it is better than the public offer for some of you, because it goes til mid-Dec with blackouts for Columbus Day vacations and Thanksgiving vacations!

It's not the white rabbit, though, it is the Dream-Come-True-Maker pin. It has the fifteen digits, so it's a true pin. I have NEVER received one before and would not have if I hadn't picked up on the hints here.

Here are my facts. 14 Disney accounts (I have since deleted two). A mix of yahoo, att, and gmail. All accounts have my name, my address, and birthdate ~ except one of the accounts has my name, my birthdate, and my childhood home address, where my son now lives, which is less than a mile away and THAT is the one that got the pin. None of the other 13 accounts got pins and I sincerely doubt they ever will as long as they have my home address.

Here are the stats for the account that got the pin:
account: new gmail
Disney account created: April 29
received explore resorts email: April 30
received vacation planning video email: April 30
pin received: May 4
type of pin: 40/30/20 til mid-Dec with blackout dates
name of pin: Disney Dream-Come-True-Maker
itineraries: created two itineraries both choosing a non-Disney resort stay

Why do I think I got this pin? I believe it is because I used my childhood home address, where my son now lives, and not my own address. That address is not in their system. I should know, I was born in that house, lol. And I wouldn't have thought to do that if it weren't suggested here.

That one email that got the pin, was actually the only one I thought would get a pin in my daily fantasies, because maybe just maybe Disney didn't know it was little old blacklisted me, lol. Oh, and it is also the only email address that got the explore resort email.

So thanks! I'm really glad to have finally received a pin. I'm also glad that I was able to give up waiting for one when the public code came out with the amazing deals. At least I now know the impossible, is possible. Well, let me rephrase that ~ I still believe I will NEVER ever get a pin with my accounts that contain my home address. Those of you that are convinced you will never receive a pin with your current account information, can maybe try to use a middle name, as others suggested here, or an immediate family member's address. Try something that is different from your usual information. And maybe use a gmail account.

Anyhow, thanks for having faith when I had long given up.
Good luck to all. May you all get stuck with pins!
