I wanted to add a little anecdotal information to this mulitple email addresses thing and how it is probably not fooling Disney unless you don't use your birthdate information.
I already had a room reservation under my main family email address. And I had an account on the mydisneyvacation where I had created/deleted/changed/sneezed at/blinked at iteneraries trying to get a Pin to save some cash on my vacation.
I came to this thread, read all the tips and began to create numerous email addresses on gmail, etc.
The one that is the point of this story had a different name...I used the same last name but put Matt instead of Matthew..but my address was different..I used my parents. My phone numbers were ALL different...I didn't even use the one that was tied to my regular resort reservation...all new numbers..my work number, my daughter's cell number, etc. The ONLY thing that was the same was my birthdate because I was afraid if I got a pin, since I changed everything else, I would need something to verify it was really me. Maybe dumb, maybe superstitious, but still..that's the only thing I left the same.
I got the teaser email last week which was just a regurgitation of the public deals out at that time.
Called today with the public deal to get 40% off my deluxe stay. And when they confirmed all my information, the email address they had in their reservation system was this 'new' one I had created. I was stunned...I asked them how they got that because I had never used it to book anything..she said she didn't know just that it was in the system. I had it changed back to my regular family email address.
But I went out and logged into both accounts and every piece of information is different except my last name and birthdate and they had it linked to my resort reservation.
I'm sure there is more reason than that why I never got a pin, and now it's a moot point for me since my dates worked out, but it was a lesson that they still knew who I was.
Very interesting this fancy Disney system.
