Support group for us no pin people!?

I have pretty much given up hope, not I haven't quit trying. Mainly because I was FQSD pin which isn't very popular right now.

I have messed with some accounts (after doing nothing for about a week). I deleted offers on some, itineraries on others. Some I created new ones for the summer, some I just didn't do anything. I doubt anything will work, but I am stubborn and keep trying :)

DON"T GIVE UP!! I'm certain they'll come to each in time :cheer2:

What's on your different accounts? And have you left them alone for a while? That seems to be key. PLus pins can come weeks later :goodvibes

I have left about eight of them alone for almost a week or more. Some of the accounts were created within the last few years, others created recently, like one-two weeks ago and within this past week.

You know back around 2002 or 2003, I took a somewhat lengthy Disney survey. I remember one question in particular that asked if I needed incentive to come back to Disney or something along those lines. I replied that I was a Disney addict and would always be back and somehow, I feel like that answer could have been what blacklisted me indefinitely. I know it's a long shot, that that could be the reason I have never gotten a code, but still. So if you are ever asked anything like that, don't ever show your loyalty. ;)

I received the create your video offer on 2 of my 6 accounts. I went ahead and did so. Then ignored the accounts again.

Today, on 1 of the accounts, I received the letterhead.

I noticed both of the accounts that received the "video" email (and later 1 received the letterhead) - these were accounts created at Disney Parks

Thanks for the info.! I'll go ahead and do the video, I guess. I keep deleting the cookies on my laptop, using my kids computers and my husband's off and on - I don't know whether I'm coming or going!:confused3;) Hopefully one of the accounts will end up with a pin so I can go back to my regular life! :goodvibes

What is the Explore Your Resort Email? I don't think I have ever got that one on any of the email accounts I have set up. I have gotten the create your own video and the download your letterhead but I am not sure about the Explore Your Resort.

On one account this week I got the letterhead twice. I did download it the first time and printed it but not the second time (which was two days later).

Haha, oh sweetie, at least you can think of a reason, right? Sometimes it's easier if you at least understand. We keep coming back to Disney but we only go about every four years and at random times so Disney may think they're luring us in.

Are you pricing out ridiculously expensive vacations, because I kinda think that helped? We always stay moderate so maybe they were hoping to get us in deluxe and free up the moderate room. Did you clear cookies? Do you want to use one of my old addresses? Do you want me to set up a new email for you from a different computer? Haha I'm trying here

Keep hoping :cheer2:

If there's anything at all that I can do for anyone who has not gotten a pin yet let me know!
I so badly want you all to get one.
The "explore your resort email" is a good sign I think.
The three acounts I created that all got pins were made on thursday and Friday of last week with gmail and with Disney parks.
Keep on keepin on guys!
Just think of all the hopeless people that have passed through ahead!
Look at our chart on page 10, we are making progress!
It IS just a matter of time!
As long ad you keep doing all the steps your not fighting a losing battle!
You will win a pin!!!

I created a ridiculous vacation.... yeah i am gonna drop $15,000 for 5 days at Disney..... okie dokie..... deleted it and nothing magical yet here.

Well.... I just returned from spending a week on the mainland to find my email inboxes full of nothing but free snowglobes and letterheads :confused3

I even created some new emails from my sister's computer on the mainland to see if that would ping a PIN code.... nada.

Funny thing is, in one of my emails I received a 30% "package" discount good for anytime between now and August, but it's not a PIN, just a general discount for a WDW pkg.

I've tried everything possible and I'm beginning to be resigned to the fact that some of us just won't get them. I really do wonder if being on the wrong side of Canada is causing the problem. No matter how I play with the Disney Destinations itineraries, resort offers, etc, I have never got that pop-up survey asking why I deleted an offer or why I was opting to stay off-site. Bizarre.

Maybe they just know that we've always paid full price for the resorts for all of our 11 previous vacations so they know they've "got us" and don't need to entice us with any PIN codes.

Just my opinion, but I think if you're name is in their system and you've stayed full price on the property for several years in a row, they should actually be sending out PIN postcards to those loyal consumers rather than taking it for granted that you'll always pay full price so they don't need to reward you.

Having a bad day... can you tell :)

Well, thanks for the support. I'll keep plugging along here for now. You know, nine out of our last twelve vacations have been at deluxe resorts, so we never really stay cheap. Add to that four Disney cruises between 1999 and 2005, where, again, we had a verandah, lol. Not cheap. The vacations I've been pricing out aren't ridiculously expensive... YC standard, BC standard, Poly standard, GF standard, etc..... but not exactly the All Stars either, lol... heck, if I had any hope left, I'd go in there and choose only the category fit for a queen with delluxe dining and all the other bells and whistles. Ok, I'll try that and report back if anything happens. Thanks again!

Holy cow, how did you come up with that !!
I thought I did pretty good, $15,000 for 2 weeks. That was Poly. TPV club level, Dining, 10 day hopper , water park tickets for a family of 5.
You beat me !!! I deleted that this morning hopeing to trigger a pin. zip.......so far.
I figured I would set up an itenerary with dining and tickets to see if I could snag the pin with 40% off everything.
I already reserved with the 40% off room only, but I am greedy !!! Trying to get the GOLDEN pin code jgallant recieved.
Its "game-on" again !!!:rotfl2::laughing:
I know I wont get much sympathy, but wish me luck !!!:cheer2:

Snowglobers and letter-headers unite!

Yes, I think the old 30% off package discount was sent to all of us blacklisted folks. Uh huh, Disney tried to sneak that one by to make us feel "special" and then snickered behind our backs since it is a general public offer. Ha ha ha... very funny, Disney.

I agree, they should reward us loyal folks. This year, we're teetering between going and not going for the first time since 2002. We've gone every year from 2002-2009, so Disney was wrong in assuming they'd always have us. And with this Harry Potter thing being the very first time we will be straying from Disney since 1983, well, Disney needs to start throwing some pins our way.

Craigdarroch, good luck to you! I really do hope that by some miracle, you get your magic pin.

tink
ps. I'm in the USA and that hasn't helped any. Also, did you open Gmail accounts? I did that and one of those was the very first time I received the explore your resort email, so it might be worth a try.

Thanks for the support. I am really hoping for Craigdarroch. It sounds like they will be going with or without a pin. So here are some cheers for the pinless!!!

Just a quick question now...so after completing the exit survey, do I go back to the website to log out? And if I saved an offer a few hours ago, should I delete the offer tomorrow night, but leave the itinerary as-is? Thanks!

Yeah, I would go back and log out after you do the survey (I've never had the survey, but I hear that's what others have done). If you saved an offer, delete it after about 24 hours and yes, just leave the itinerary alone.

Good luck, and good luck to Tink and Dani and all of us wretchedly Pinless folks :wizard:

I don't know but maybe it makes sense that you're not getting one because Disney knows you're gonna come and knows they can get you in a deluxe anyway. By getting us into a GF TPV room, Disney not only got us to pay more and take up a more expensive less bookable room, but also freed up the less expensive more bookable moderate room we had booked. And we don't go very often.

Or it could be they just want to play with our minds and they'll give you one in two weeks once you've pulled your hair out. :confused3 I dont' know. BUt maybe if you price out something at least more expensive than you would normally pay for...

Another letterhead offer on a different account this morning :rolleyes1

HAS gotten the "Explore your Resort" email?
Who is just getting Junk Mail? ( snowglobes, letterheads, etc? )

Just curious, I am certain that the Explore Your Resort will MOST definitely end with a happy ending! Have yet o see it not work out ( correct me if I am misinformed... seems they get PINS within 2-3 days? NO? )

Those that have got NADA... We need to work on you guys!

If you want help, I think there are people here who will help, I know I am willing to try to get a PIN for you, just to give me something to do! And because I want you to get them so badly.

Respond if your interested!

Leave the itinerary alone ( I only had one itinerary saved at the time of PIN )
You will be logged out when the exit survey is done, but go on the site to make sure.
Yes delete the saved offer, shop for a resort ( your favorite one ) but X out and do not save it again. Price a really crazy one too!
