So, I've been missing for quite awhile. Summer has really put a kink in my routine. With DH only teaching one class 3 days a week, we have been taking long day trips with the kids and by the time I get home I'm exhausted. But I have been following everyone's awesome successes! Way to go on the all the races I've been reading about. It's awesome how excited everyone is and how well ya'll are doing. I'm jealous!
MommyMcQueen - I can't believe they restarted you and didn't give you something to drink! I think that would have killed my concentration and I would have walked the whole course. I think you did great under the circumstances.
Even though my routine has been off, I'm grateful I've only fluctuated about 3 lbs. up or down. I'm hoping this week I'll get back on track and be able to see a permanent drop and finally break my plateau.
Thanks for the inspiring stories!

Looking for a little redepmtion from that awful, evil 10K. And I had my Best.Run.Ever. 7.2 miles in 1:16. I felt great the entire way - it was cool, beautiful night, I felt like I could have gone even further but was satisfied getting in 7. I don't know where all this energy was on Saturday when I needed it!??!
It was definitely the boost I needed, it was a fun run. I felt like I pushed myself the entire way and didn't even seem to mind...
7.2 miles?! Ah that's awesome!!

I cannot even imagine how you must be feeling!! I can't believe it happened right during the day with people around and no one saw anything. That is just awful. The only good thing is that no one was home when it happened - had one of you been home sleeping or doing something it could have been a lot worse!
So much else was lost and it stings to think about (jewelry from Ireland, and trips around the US to different places, a bunch from Disney, etc) but that made it a little better.

I am just now being able to run 3 miles pretty consistantly.
(although one is usually Subway)
