SuperWalmart closest to Windsor Hills

I posted yesterday about finding a Publix closest to WH. Several people said that their prices are high and recommended Walmart instead.

Where is the closest SuperWalmart to WH? And do you know what the address is so I can put it in my GPS. TIA!

Hi,
I don't have addresses for you but the two walmarts that I know of are on 192 (Irlo Bronson highway) and 535. If you make a left out of Windsor Hills entrance and make a right on 192 you go down APPROXIMATELY 4 or 5 miles and make a left onto 535. It will be clearly marked. You can only go left at that light. The Walmart will be a few miles down on your left. I think this one is closer to you than the one on 192.

The one we use when we stay at WH and area is the one on 27. There's less traffic going that way. You turn left onto 192 at the Old Lake Wilson intersection and head west for about 5 or 6 miles, then you take the exit for 27 north. The Walmart is just off the exit on the right behind Long John Silvers. There's also a big Lowe's beside it.

There are 2 SuperWalmarts within about 5 miles. There is a new SuperTarget just down the road. It's really nice and a lot closer!

super target much closer I agree with the publix being to high Target right across from publix...take a left on 192 an it down no more than 3 lights don't think.

As a local, let me join the chorus saying the SuperTarget is closer and much nicer than the Super WalMart. Maybe 5 minutes from WH, if you get stuck at the light on 192. The WalMart on 27 is the closest, it's another 5-7 miinutes past Target.

Oh I would much prefer Target to Walmart. Okay...how do I get to Target from WH? Anyone have an address?

Also..do they have a bakery there? My ds will be turning 5 on Sat. and we want to get him a cake.

For Target you take a left on 192 and head west for 2 - 3 miles. It will be on your left across from the Orange Lake Publix.

There's an Olive Garden, Longhorn Steakhouse and a few other stores. It's a new store and plaza area just opened March 2009.

We are staying at WH right now and find that the new walmart on Turkey lake road is superior to the one on 27. We were not impressed by the supertarget! It may be closer but it does not have the variety which Walmart does. Pool toys are more expensive and Disney merchandise is not as extensive. I would recommend the Publix on Old Lake Wilson Road for groceries. Much easier to get to! You just make a right coming out of WH and drive for about 10 minutes (4-5 miles). This Publix is closer than Orange lake and much more accessible. There is also a CVS close to the Publix.

Joining the Super Target bandwagon! We shopped there instead of Publix during our last trip and we loved it. Wish we had one here in southern NH! The prices were great, the store was clean, and it was much closer than the Wal-Mart. I can be found shopping at the Super Target there next month when we stay at the Windsor Palms.
