Supershuttle?

What do you think of Supershuttle?

We've used them several times on trips to/from LAX/Orange County area. Except for one time, they've been prompt, and efficient getting us around. That time I'm not sure whether the issue was actually a Super Shuttle issue or an airport issue, but it took them over 1/2 hour to get to the terminal to pick us up when we arrived.

Thanks. I sort of figured that the 1 star reviews on Yelp had to be a bit slanted.

Sometimes it takes awhile to leave the LAX airport if they don't have a full vehicle. I usually check with them to confirm the return to airport. I like the shuttle better, less stops than the bus.

I will say that some of the vans are older, and do rattle a bit. And one time the interior smelled strongly of cigarette smoke (I think the driver probably smoked inside when there were no passengers). They're definitely not a real classy operation, but quite handy.

But, for a simple transfer, we're likely to use them again. I go online before I book and search for "super shuttle discount code" and find a code that gets me a little bit off (usually around $5.00 pp on a roundtrip).

I really like SS. I use them more than any other. The service is almost always good and I've never had a problem with the vehicles; I've found them to be as good or better than other companies' shuttles, which is to say that they are decent modes of transportation but not luxury rides. I once had a reservation with a different shuttle company to take me back to SNA, but they did not show up and I had to take a taxi. Since then, I've stuck to SS because I've found them to be very dependable. People used to rave about Karmel, but the recent experiences here on the board seem to indicate that it is now one to avoid.

I also have to note here that I've not taken shuttles from LAX. I have only flown into LAX a couple of times and I took the Disneyland Express bus or whatever it's called, so I am only speaking of my shuttle experience from SNA.

Thanks. I am flying in and out of ONT. We usually fly into SNA and take the Disneyland Express, but we saved $400 this time flying into ONT. Then we found out that the transportation options were limited.......

I flew into ONT many years ago and took SS. It took about 45 minutes to get to the hotel at DLR. I believe ONT is one of those airports where the shuttle might circle the airport for a while. You might also look into renting a car. I've heard Costco has good rates.

Thanks. We thought about renting a car using Costco. I think I would rather not have to worry about it tho if we knew we could get to and from the hotel without losing too much "in the park time".
