Which of the two options would you all recommend for a journey from the Grand Californian to LAX?

When I booked my vacation I went with SuperShuttle. I thought 15 passenger van in comparision to 49 passenger bus. How may stops would you make before you get to your location.

Does the Supershuttle run on a schedule or can you book it for whatever time suits your flight? Sounds like a more direct option if it seats less people...

But does the Grand Cal Express route share with a lot of other hotels?

Last year my DH and I used the Disneyland Express from LAX to the Fairfield- it was a large bus but was really comfy and there was only one other group on it with us (this was in August) so it was pretty quiet. The driver had an accent that sounded like Sebastian from Little Mermaid.

The GCA was the 2nd stop after the DLH and then to PP and then to the neighboring hotels. It was on time, and really a nice smooth ride. There is even a restroom on it (not the best quality of one, but it will do in a pinch).

We plan on taking it again this year from SNA to the GCA where we are staying.

I prefer SuperShuttle myself. I used Disneyland Express once in 2009 and it added at least 30 minutes to each way compared to when I have used SuperShuttle.

DL Express picks you up and then make multiple stops around the airport. It then goes to the DLH and takes everyone's money or vouchers. After that they start taking people to their hotels.

On the way back it is in reverse. They pick you up, take you to the DLH transfer you and your luggage to the LAX bus and then take you to the airport.

Check out PrimeTime Shuttle. We have often been the only customers and they do not circle the airport until the van is full.

So to the airport, there's just one stop at the DLH where you change buses, then next stop the airport? Doesn't sound too bad seeing as though it runs every hour and you don't have to book. Wonder what happens if the bus gets full though?

Doesn't this mean you're waiting for others to fill the van?

We've used SuperShuttle multiple times on our trips and found it to be a reliable service.

From LAX to the hotels:
On average at LAX, it takes SuperShuttle 20 minutes to gather enough passengers to leave the airport (sometimes less time, sometimes a bit more) - this usually means circling the airport, though sometimes SuperShuttle will collect all its passengers at your stop. Once out of LAX, there are about 3 stops each van makes at its Anaheim destination. The whole experience usually takes about 60 minutes from start to finish. Of course it can vary a bit from this but the trip won't be like 1.5 + hours unless something rare and truly unexpected happens.

From the hotels to LAX:
You provide your flight time when booking with Super Shuttle and based on that, the shuttle provides several 15-minute block options for your pick up. Let's say your flight departs at 3:15 p.m. out of LAX. You have the option to pick a 12:20 - 12:35 p.m window or three others, the earliest shuttle pick up being 11:35 - 11:50 a.m. They've always been on-time picking us up and again, there might be a few more hotel stops before the shuttle fills and leaves for LAX. We always opt for the earliest departure and end up having enough time for lunch at the airport before boarding.
