Supermarket

The nearest supermarket would be a Gooding's in the Crossroads Shopping Center which at the end of Hotel Plaza Blvd and SR 535.

Yes - close, but you could rent a car and drive to Tampa for groceries and it would be cheaper. $8.99 for a $3.99 case of water was a little over the top. I manage a grocery store, and it had to be the worst merchandised and maintained store I have ever seen. Their business plan, "Stick it to the tourist".

There is also a Winn-Dixie a mile or two farther out, just turn left at the light at the intersection, (before you cross over into Goodies) and head down Apopka Vineland Road, Winn-Dixie is on the Right, sits back from the road in a plaza. There is also a Publix close too, but I don't know the exact directions to it.

Agree with disneybride96 on the prices! I think Winn-Dixie lets us use our Kroger Card too.

If you have a rental car, definitely travel further down the road to one of the
other public supermarkets. I agree that the prices at Goodings are ridiculous.:headache:

If you take a left onto 192 at the Winn-Dixie, there is a super target, which may allow you to get a lot of stuff, diapers, etc for a little less than a grocery store

Also on Vineland Ave oppopsite the Premium Outlets is Publix, which we always prefer to use :) Not too far by car or in a taxi from SSR or DTD.

Claire ;)

Definitely stay away from Goodings. The prices are ridiculously high (price gouging)

Ask the valet to draw you a map to the Winn-Dixie or Publix. It takes only a couple minutes to get there and the savings alone could pay for a park ticket to MK.
