superheros??

3 weeks from today we'll be starting our first real Universal trip! ds is 6 and of course loves superheros, especially spidey! I've seen pics of the superheros riding on their 4 wheelers. is it on a schedule for the day (like at disney) when/where they'll be showing up? and i thought i once read something about a character meal w/ spidey... anyone know about that? we've done disney many times and dd had tons of princess stuff... i'm so excited for ds now, and I don't want to miss anything geared towards him. (we're staying at PBH). I'm considering renting a cabana too... and it's really dd's 8th bday trip (she'll turn 8 a day after we get back home). any advice for kids bdays?

We did the character breakfast at IOA in Confisco's.

We thought it was good, and good character interaction. If you click on the link in my sig to my UO and Epcot TR, there is a review and pix in there. They had everything you could think of to eat (milk and juice not included tho) and lots of time w/ the characters..... and yes, Spidey will talk to your son!

Can't help w/ cost of cabana, but mention "ds birthday" to PB when checking in, and you MIGHT get a gift (no promises, but happens).

Also, in reference to the parade, I'm not sure if there's a schedule for that. It's not really much imho.... They ride in on the 4 wheelers and then park them, and walk off and separate to do "meet and greets/autographs". Times would be on the park map if they post them.

Labor Day weekend there was a team member standing in front of Dr. Doom holding a sign that said "this way to meet spiderman". He was in the back of the store directly across from Dr. Doom. The wait wasn't bad either, there were about 3 or 4 kids in line. It would be a great opportunity for your DS to meet him!

I don't know if they still do the little parade through Super Hero Island. The guide map from last week says "Meet Spiderman and the Marvel Super Heroes! 11:00 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, 3 pm, 4 pm, 5 pm. SpiderMan appearing at the Marvel Alterniverse Store for photos Daily 9:40 am - 5:15 pm" So I'd check a guide map when you get there.

everytime we went you hear sirens going off and thats we they go off the four wheelers and to diffrent places and you can meet and take pics with the super heros .
my ds 15 and 11 loved it although the 11 year old is shy.
