Ok so because on Day 2 we had our first problems with the dinning plan, I thought ok I get up and be at the concierge desk for it opening at 7am as again I didn’t want to be late getting in to the parks in the morning. Now on my way to the desk I just so happened to look at my new room keys that I got the day before and notice that they had our holiday starting on the 23rd and not the 22nd this is when the penny dropped, we have a missing days worth of dinning plan because they removed a day from our holiday when rebooking it to fix the 14 day ultimate hopper missing problem.

So this time they opened the concierge desk on time and I was like, hi I have got a small problem the number of dinning point in credit. What I think I have, is not the same as what it says I have and why are these room keys got 23rd and not 22nd on them could that be the problem? The person looked as if I just asked the most difficult set of questions ever and had to disappear in to the back room, she came back and explained that it was a mistake and not to worry as they noticed before I did and made a note to say I was to get the extra points back. They then explained what I had to do to get the points back, it all sounded long winded to me but I went along with it anyway. I also said about the problem at Tony’s Town Square and she disappeared again this time came back and showed me a print out that removed 2 credits from Tony’s Town Square for my room. I pointed out it should only been 1 as I was over charged for 1 only and she said our mistake you get an extra table service for free now.. Ok fine.. Then I asked for a print out of each room and each snack, counter service and table service, it prints out and I notice that snacks and counter service are all missing from the print out so I say to them look I don’t want it to be a surprise down the line so I better tell you about these ones we already used.. she then heads of back in to the back room, comes out and says we removed them when rebooking the room, so don’t worry about it our fault you now have extra counter services and snacks.. so I then say why don’t you just re-adjust the ones I have used from the ones that are missing, and she says no it’s our mistake and we have agreed to credit you the other stuff already so don’t worry about it.. Fine, I wasn’t going too as she was right, this was not my fault.

Anyway I get told to get the credits back I need to get snacks, counter service and table service on each room and they credit them back, means I need to visit concierge desk again but not a big deal.. so off I go with knowledge that I now have 2 extra sacks and 7 extra counter service and will be getting the missing stuff all added also.

So the day can start and it was off to Animal Kingdom.

- Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom, we get in to the park and to start things off myself and my 13 year old sister-in-law head to Kilimanjaro Safari with all the ticket to get the fast passes and tell everyone to meet us at It’s Tough to be a Bug. This worked out really well as the fast passes where for later and It’s Tough to be a Bug had a 10 min wait time, so in we went.

Everyone enjoyed this but my 21 month old son loved it however going by his reactions some parts he took as being very real to him but not actually being scarred of bugs he had a great time.

We still had plenty of time so headed in to Dino Land USA, my wife, her youngest sister, wife's mother and my son went on the flying Dino ride and at this time I went to Dinosaur and picked up new fast passes as the time was now ready to do that.

Now that we had our new fast passes it was time to head Kilimanjaro Safari and use these fast passes. On the way I took a photo of "Everest" I didn't know what it was at this point, but on my return I get a few more photos of the track and what looks like it will be a cool coaster when open.

Kilimanjaro Safari: No baby swap on this ride as you can take them on with you.. again son loved it however could have done with more lions kicking about but hey they are real animals so can’t make them perform. He did like the elephants and the different birds about.

Next it was Dinosaur ride and it was time we did do the baby swap. Now here is a tip. Keep the fast pass for the person that is staying back on the baby swap, so when they give you the rider swap pass, you have 1 fast pass and 1 rider swap for 3 people and this means 4 of you can enjoy the ride.

After a great day at Animal Kingdom (and to be honest we never done as much as what we would have done without a baby in toe) we went back to the Hotel. The plan was to use the swimming pool, have a relaxing evening at the hotel and avoid the Thanks Giving crowds at the parks that night, plus was good chance to re-adjust after a busy first day.

Only used snacks and counter service that day, so one good thing I didn’t have to visit the concierge desk the next day as I had to wait until I done table services as well.

So off to bed and be ready for day 4 where it was time to go do Epcot and a return to MGM to get some shows in.

Enjoyed your report, Clarke, thanks for posting. The pictures are excellent. Glad that your dining plan is finally getting sorted out, it sounds very complicated.

Thanks and as for finally sorted, at this stage I was thinking all was well but little did I know how much more complicated it was all about to get in a few days time more on what happened and how ended up with even more free food in the reports that follow.

Sounds intriguing, Clarke, look forward to hearing about it in future reports, and hope it didn't take too much of the magic away from your holiday.

Thoroughly enjoying your trip reports, Clarke! The pictures really add to it.

I read today that there was a baby girl giraffe born at the Animal Kingdom Lodge savannah on Thanksgiving Day. Did you hear anything about that when you were at the AKL? I stayed there in October, but I don't remember seeing a pregnant giraffe. Actually,.... what does a pregnant giraffe look like? :confused3

Looking forward to more of your reports! :sunny:

Busy day, Fantastic pictures!

Hi Sue, I have a Canon 10D (replacement is a 20D now) also its important what lens you use, I got "L" series lens (they basically what the professionals use). I am not a professional as you can clearly see. It has just always been a hobby of mine and only been since last year I have had the money to get the better kit. I recently done the photography a couple of days before I went on holiday for Guides, Brownies, Junior BB, Anchor Boys, Church Choir and Leaders involved in annual show, they where very kind and said they where the best they have ever had and where even more happy when I donated everything I done for free… well my 3 sister-in-laws all go and in a couple of years time when my sons old enough for Anchor Boys I be able to make sure he gets in quickly and doesn’t have to be on the waiting list LOL. It was actually good fun, however very stressful as all the photos will be going on sale to the parents and for many this be first non-school photo that’s been done to a high standard that they can buy for like 50p (costs like 12p to print a 5x7) so nice little profit for the groups and lets face it a good cause as it keep the kids off the streets and allows parents a few hours break. Took over 700+ photos over 3 nights so they had better make a packet out of them LOL … actually been told they have had the highest interest in the photos this year from the parents, so that’s good.

No didn't, ah well. As for what one looks like I don't know however when the babies are born they are actually pretty big from what I understand, sounds like a lot of pain to me, but as am male I never know :cool1:

He would do that a lot, way hey.. However he was getting up at 6am each day, boo! By the way people said with a baby you won't get lots done, but I found we done loads, I think having extra helpers ensured you get a lot more done instead of it just being myself and my wife then I could see why you get less done.
