Supercallifragilistic-ADR'sApproachUs! May '09 PTR *Trip Report has Begun! Pg. 208*

I probably couldn't skip to save my life at the moment but I figure with moving it's the perfect time to get into a new routine. For the first time in my life I am just a teensy bit excited to exercise.

I should get a wogging team together. I think you can register a team too. I'm going to pay attention to how the registering goes for the 2010 1/2 Marathon so I will be fully prepared when it comes time for 2011!

I am so in for this. I don't know why I'm feeling so enthused about running and exercising lately but for some weird reason it's all that's consuming my mind. I spent awhile yesterday chatting with my runner brother getting a few tips. He suggested I just keep slowly bumping up my speed on the treadmill a week at a time. Once I feel comfortable at a speed, bump it up .1 or .2 mph and do that for another week, always walking the same length of time. Eventually he said bump up the length of time little by little. Sounded very doable for me especially since I'm in pretty rotten cardiovascular shape. Thought I'd pass the tips along. :)

And how wrong is it that I'm already thinking about what I'd wear for a 2011 princess marathon?:rotfl: I have issues obviously!

I have the same issues as you do because I want something overly princess like! :rotfl2:

One of the links you sent me had the walking a 1/2 Marathon program and I think I am going to start with that. It's a 12 week program but it said to just repeat weeks if you have longer than that. I think I will start doing that and then take it from there and add in jogging when I am in better "shape."

I'm with you too on the being excited about exercise, who knew pairing Disney and exercise would be such a motivator. :lmao:

OOh can you send me the 12 week program? Being a princess might be worth exercising. princess:

What a great mom you've got(and what a great daughter she's got!:thumbsup2) Thanks for sharing her with us. I hope, hope, hope she can go with you.

Someone should have promised me a princess medal, and the chance to workout wearing princess gear a long time ago. I'd be looking like J-Lo! :rotfl:

I went out and bought myself a couple of heavy duty sports bras this weekend, as the cheap ones I had bought at Target were doing nothing to protect me. Now I just need to save up my pennies for some good sneakers.

Thanks! I really hope she can too. I think it's looking like she will as long as her vacation time approved. :thumbsup2

Seriously, I am giddy over a princess medal! :yay: I have good sneakers, I just need to get some sports bras. :thumbsup2

Ooh, would you mind PMing me the 12 week running program? I could use some toning up before summer!:goodvibes I've never been much of a runner but it looks like really good exercise... I would totally have to start with the basics though.

LOL!! I did the same thing a few weeks ago and you're SO right, the Target ones were pointless!! LOL!! I could have seriously hurt myself using them on the treadmill.....:rotfl: Or someone else for that matter!!

I found a great FILA tank w/bra built in at Marshalls....for only $7.99!! And it's SO nice and is working..where did you get yours?

Btw, got some nice Aasics at Kohl's with a coupon for $40! They were $90 and on sale and then I had a 30% off coupon....you can't beat that!!!:thumbsup2

LL:

I love the pictures of your mom and dad. How great of you to post them. And how exciting that she may be joining you for part of your trip. definately worth rearranging a few ADR's.

I went to the full service bra store the next town over from me. I hate going there because I'm terribly self concious, but it's been ages and I really needed to get fitted by someone who knew what they are doing. I ended up with two. One was an Anita, whose regular line I've had good luck with, and and Elilia (or something like that). The Anita's though tend to run big, so it was a huge shock to end up with one about 3 cup sizes smaller than what I normally wear. The woman fitting me was a bit shocked, but it was actually my favorite. Nothing moved!

Now I just need to get the shoes. I definitely want to get fitted for those too. I have very wide feet, and just know that I'm normally squashing my poor tootsies into the wrong ones.

I will PM them to you. Crissy (If U Had Wings) sent them to me and she did a GREAT job with them. :thumbsup2

Sounds so awesome!
I have been goign to the gym and trying to work on it b ut I am not sure if I could make it for the 5 miles running...prob half running half jogging and a little walking would be in my range lol

So after all this talk, I had to check out the Princess 1/2 Marathon online! How fun does that look???? You get to wear the colors of your favorite princess!!!

I like the 16 minute mile time limit! I can easily walk a 16 minute mile now...BUT after 13 miles...I don't think so :lmao:

That is my concern...:rotfl2: I think though that I could do it with enough time to train. :thumbsup2 You could too!

I received some VERY good news today! My Mom's vacation time has been approved, which means she will be joining me in Disney!

I am very, very excited and I think she is too. Though she is having issues with spending money on herself but I told her to cut that out, that she deserves to take a trip. :snooty:

We have made the decision to do 2 TS meals, my Mom just wanted to do one to conserve money but I have told her that I would like to take her to a nice meal as her Mother's Day Present. Last night I talked to her and gave her a bunch of the allears menus to peruse. She said they all sounded good and for me to pick one. I said, OH NO! This is for you, I want you to pick one that you want to eat at, you always compromise with everyone else in the family, you need to pick it. So she was hemming and hawing. A few that she liked the looks of were Yak N' Yeti, Brown Derby, Rose & Crown, Nine Dragons, Whispering Canyon Cafe and Flying Fish. I let her know that I could send her some pictures of the food and informed her that on my Disney Board, we refer to it as Food Porn. She thought that was hilarious! So I sent her an email this morning with a bunch of links to food porn. I told her to pick her top three and that I would call tonight to snag an ADR. I am very intrigued to see which ones she picks out. The second TS will be an early morning breakfast at Crystal Palace. I just need to change the ADR from 1 person to 2. I don't think that should be a problem.

Yesterday for her Daily Disney Email I have been sending her, I sent her a survey so I could start planning our days together. It was so adorable that I just have to share it with all of you.

I'm in Purple, she is in Pink.

This email is a survey if you will so I can plan days out accordingly.

I usually visit 2 parks a day. I get up early, then take a break in the room and then go back out around dinner time. How does that sound to you?

Marvelous

What parks would you like to visit? (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom))
Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Animal Kingdom

I knew she would pick those three, I already thought about dropping Hollywood Studios while she is there. I *might* try to jump over there one time first thing in the morning just to have her ride Toy Story Mania because I think she'd like it.

Are there any attractions that you would like to do for sure?
I would like to do that test drive ride

Hehehe, test drive ride.

Are there any specific places you would like to eat?
Nope..whatever just don't want to spend a fortune

Are you interested in fireworks?
Yes

How late do you want to stay out in the parks??
As late as we can.

I was a bit worried about this as my parents go to bed pretty early and wake up very early. I like to stay out late but I figure if it becomes an issue then I can send my mom back and stay out later by myself.

Are you going to want to get up early for rope drop (9AM)?
Whatever you want...what's rope drop?

Hehehe, this was just adorable!

Is there anything else you would like to see/do/avoid?
A swim in the pool

When I clarified some of her answers she even said that she really wanted to explore the countries because it wasn't anything we ever did on our family trips.

She'll be flying down sometime Wednesday morning and flying home with me on Saturday night. I think she will be taking a taxi from the airport to ASMusic on Wednesday, she should be fine to use Magical Express with me on Saturday. I was searching the transportation boards and found a good Southwest tip today! I was worried about checking into our flight home but people said that you could either access the southwest check in from a cell phone, I'm pretty sure mine allows me to do that OR you could have someone from home check you in. You will be able to print your boarding pass at the gate. I thought that was interesting, that way we can board first and make sure we sit together on the ride home. I think Marc could handle checking us in the day before. :thumbsup2 Does anyone have experience with this?

I really can't believe how many changes this trip has experienced since I started planning it. First it was Marc & I, then it was a solo trip for me, then Jen joined me for a few days and now my Mom joining me. Resort Changes, ADR Changes...phew! I'm exhausted. :faint:

Even though you already told me, I am so happy for you and your mom. It was wonderful seeing the excitement in your face this morning.

Can't wait to see the pictures.
