Time for the big resort change reveal!!

So I briefly described the values to Marc. All Star Movies, All Star Music and All Star Sports. I told him that if we were going to stay value again, that I rather not stay at Pop again, that I'd rather stay somewhere new. He agreed.

My two choices were ASMo or ASMu. Marc quickly ruled out All Star Sports, yeah, I am not typing those letters out. He ruled it out because he knows his wife isn't the biggest sports fan and that we both enjoy Music and Movies.

I was leaning towards ASMo, only because I love movies. You should see my DVD collection, it's insane. To give you a little hint to how huge it is, Marc & I cleaned out some of our DVDs yesterday to sell at FYE and we earned $89 on about selling 35 DVDs. We still have over two boxes full. It's insane. It's not the first time we have sold DVDs either. Cleary we have issues. You are reading for our Resort, not our DVDs.

I knew that I would be happy with either resort so being the good wife that I am, I let Marc pick. Which is super hard for me as I tend to be a bit controlling with our Disney plans. Surprising, huh?

So what did Marc pick??





























ALL STAR MUSIC RESORT!!!

Honestly, if I had picked I would have picked Movies BUT after coming home and reading about ASMu and hearing others opinions I am completely sold and super excited about staying there.

So after checking both ASMo and ASMu on the Disney Website when I got home and triple checking with Marc he was sure that Music was the right one. Like I said, hard for me to give up control of the Disney plans. I called up Disney and were able to change our stay over to ASMu. I even requested a certain section but I'm not revealing that yet either. I still have four months of updates to get through.

Hurrah for Sunday updates! I don't know anything about All Star Music so I'm looking forward to learning more about it along with you. Where is it? Is it considered an AK resort? Those pictures look neat. I especially like the pool and the 50's car!

Only 4 months? Pfft. That will go by quickly! And when is the 90 day mark??

it's my fave value...even over POP! It's pretty and compact. I was in the most remote room known to man on my last trip...and it still wasn't ridiculously far!

With a minimal amount of badgering from my wife I have finally made it onto the boards to say hi to everyone.

So as you all have read thus far you know that we are planning a road trip to WDW in May, and that our resort had recently changed to a value.

Any ideas so far?

I think I'd be in trouble if I let it slip out.

LL, I think you will have lots of fun at ASMu! The Calypso part looks really neat! Did you book a preferred room?

We did not book a preferred room, but we did book a certain section that I hope we get.

Oooh, so you were with the cowboy boots. That has got to be one of the best icons they have at the resorts. It makes me smile everytime I see a picture.

We like quiet so we wouldn't mind no man's land.

You know before I started looking into ASMu this weekend, I hadn't heard much about ASMu but everything I have read has been really positive so far. I think it's a good choice for us. Marc is excited about the Music theming since he plays bass and is very into music. I'm happy because we will have our car so if we don't like the buses we can drive.

I didn't find that the bus service was too bad....EXCEPT to DTD! But service to DTD is a bit spotty from lots of the resorts

The only thing that really bugged me RE the busses was there is no cover while waiting at ASMu, and it could get quite hot (or wet) while waiting. It's the same at POP and the other All Stars too, so it's not a ASMu issue...but a 'value' issue.

I'm looking forward to having our car on our next trip...just for the flexibility
