HAPPY NEW YEAR LL!! I love your Trip Resolutions!!!

You know me, I have to weigh in on this one. The hipster (neither the new or old designs) are too big or feel like a diaper bag. My goal is to do a Vera versus Vera update this weekend where I compare the two. Yes, I am that much of a geek .

Ooh I can't wait! I really like the shape of the cargo sling but have finally outgrown the diaper bags and would like to keep it that way! I like the look of the hipster but am afraid it's not big enough for all of my stuff - I am like the bag lady with all my stuff

Oh that is just the normal upcoming trip panic you are in, trust me, talk to me in March and I will be going crazy!

I like your trip resolutions! That's a really good idea.

I hear you on the overpacking...I'm looking at my packing lists and thinking that I might have a little too much, but at the same time, I want to be covered if something gets dirty. In my experience, there's a fine line between "overpacking" and "being prepared," and I've always had a hard time staying on that line.

It is a VERY fine line and one I am afraid that I will be on the losing end of. I get all panicky. It helps that I know we can do laundry at WDW in case of a dire emergency.

Great trip resolutions! I am a hurry upping kind of person, too, so I may be stealing that one!

I am so like that. I want to just slow the pace a bit. I am sure Marc will love it too, he's much more relaxed than I am.

Sounds like you've got a great attitude about this trip, and it should be really enjoyable for both you and Marc.

I didn't remember that photo was the one that started it all (the light fixture obsession). I can see why... gorgeous photo.

I am right there with you on the overpacking. In fact it is CRIMINAL how much I lug there and don't even wear. In fact on my flight home in Dec I was so disgusted with myself that I started to make a core packing list. That will hopefully also help me avoid the last minute panicked packing that I seem to do.

How big/heavy is your tripod? I agree, I see lots of people with these. I don't think you'll have any worries. And remember everyone is so busy doing their thing they aren't even going to notice what you're doing.

Mid-day breaks are very important.

As are romantical moments. Not too much detail, please , but are you going to try to plan romantical moments or let them happen?

LOVE your nightswimming tradition. I think that's soo cute (and romantical).

I meant to put the nightswimming tradition on there! I think the tripod is 2lbs or less with the carrying case so not too huge.
I think our dinner at Jiko is one romantical evening, I am not sure about the others. Our night swims were a spontaneous romantical occurrence last trip so I probably won't plan too many more.

OH what great trip resolutions...I hope you and Marc are able to keep every single one of them!!! ONLY 143 days..it will fly by like nothing...I'm going to countdown with you cuz that means I'm getting really close to the end of school...LOL

If this semester was anything like last..you'll be in Disney before you know it and I'll have another great LL Trip report to read!!

Yes, these past few months have absolutely flown by...I can't believe we're under three weeks now! I kind of wish we'd be back at three months out. I want to look forward to it longer (weird, I know) and I feel totally unprepared. Clothing is the problem. At this point, I'll be the one wearing only 2 different pairs of pants the whole trip! I ordered all those clothes from Old Navy so long ago (like 8 shirts and 12 pairs of pants) and sent everything back except one shirt. So it was really nice to hear you say that you wore the comfy stuff more than once. I have no problem doing laundry while we're there. Good thing!

Sorry about the whining. I'll just be doing lots of shopping after the girls are back in school. It'll all get done, it always does!

The rest of it is pretty much set. Our agenda is good, I'm trying to just have a basic plan, like which order to do things, because I just don't know what to expect, you know? We're gonna go with the flow a bit!

We totally did wear the more comfy stuff. I think just having a basic idea of what you want to do is awesome for your first trip. That way you don't have a lot of pressure if you do something other than what was planned.

I've never seen a daytime parade at Disney. I want to see ONE of them!

You will make it through but that is exactly what I go through right before the trip. Then I start to doubt if we should even go, blah blah blah everything turns out in the end though so it's worth that crazy panic.

First of all---you should be getting some great new pics of Miss Megs soon---I really MUST upload all my pics and videos of the holiday season--and when that is done, I will of course post some for you to enjoy!!! Everytime I go to upload them, something comes up, and I need the memory card for more pictures---thank goodness the season is winding down!!!

Secondly, I hope to get something concretely going on our next trip---Megan has been overdosing on all the WDW commercials, specials, etc., etc. that has been on the TV lately, and I know if we don't get something going here soon, she is just not going to be able to take it much more!!!! She has said every single day..."When ARE we going to go back to Mickey's House?!?!?!" I am thinking September---I have been trying to figure out which will be the better way to go, either renting points again or hoping for Free Dining. I really want to stay at WL, so let's hope we figure it out soon! You know you will be one of the first to know!!!

*Don't overpack.
I packed waaaaaaaay too much last trip. I want to cut down on our luggage. I had outfits that I didn't even touch last trip, in fact we washed the clothes we were most comfortable in to wear again. So, I will bring less clothes and do laundry if needed.

Trying to pack everything to get back home was a nightmare! I brought so many ridiculous things. For an 8 day trip, did I really need 7 dresses? No.

Exactly. It's hard to figure out what you are really going to need and even though you can tell yourself there is no way that you will wear 7 dresses, you feel like you need them.
