36 Days! How very exciting. I am so ready to go, that it's not even funny. I need a vacation BIG time. :thumbsup2

Picture of the Day.

Oh, Salmon Polenta, how I love thee! Let me count the ways!!

1. Your yumminess!
2. Your beauty!
3. The way you melt in my mouth!
4. Your delectable polenta!
5. Your delicious Sicillan olive tapenade!
6. Your tangy gorgonzola cheese!

Oh yes, I love thee! :lovestruc

I am seriously excited that I get to eat at Brown Derby TWICE. We had such a great meal there. I am debating between the Grilled Rib Eye Steak with arugula, crispy sweet onions, gorgonzola, red bliss potatoes, and oven-dried tomato vinaigrette or the Famous Brown Derby Cobb Salad with finely chopped greens, turkey breast, egg, bacon, tomatoes, crumbled bleu cheese, avocado, chives and Cobb dressing when I go for lunch with Jen. I know without a doubt that I will be getting the most delightful Salmon Polenta for dinner when I go with Mom. *DROOL DROOL DROOL*

Marc laughed whenever I moved since my boppers were bopping all over the place.

The best thing about our trip to The Hollywood Brown Derby is that the polenta inspired Marc to try to cook it. A few weeks after we got home he made his very own dish.

BBQ Chicken Polenta!

He's going to write the recipe down for me so I can share it with anyone who wants it. It is so delicious and he came up with it all on his own.

We have polenta on the bottom - which he makes himself but you can get the pre-made kind too. Then we have mushrooms and water chestnuts that he sautees with butter. Then gorgonzola cheese. Then the BBQ Chicken which he shreds and then he tops it with green onions. DELICIOUS! It is seriously good.

So yeah, I'm really looking forward to Hollywood Brown Derby. :rolleyes1

WOW...I can't wait until our meal at the Brown Derby. I have already decided I am getting the Cobb Salad because that avocado is just calling to me can't you hear it...it's saying "eat me Jen" LOL

I want that recipe however I would rather Marc just cook it for me LOL save me a lot of work and will definitely make sure that its fabulous LOL!!

BTW I had the steak when I went and it was DELICIOUS...so very very good the flavors were just bursting off the plate...so I know you would really enjoy it too!!! You know we could always share too LOL!!!

OH GOODNESS!! Why didn't I think of that!! We could share and get the best of both worlds. I think you just made my day, Jen! :lmao: I've been looking at appetizers too. I go back and forth between the Coconut Fried Shrimp with Asian pear-chili sambal and citrus soy dipping sauce and the Braised Boneless Beef Short Ribs with whipped parsnips and brown butter beets.

Someday I will have Marc make you his polenta too! :thumbsup2

OK, Bowler Hat Guy......... we met him in 2007,at DHS, just as we came out of the One Man's Dream movie.....

AHHHH! So awesome!! I love Meet the Robinsons, it's so underrated.

The other entree is Noodle Bowl with Wok Fried Coconut Tofu, soy beans, sugar snap peas, bok choy, and shiitake mushrooms in a red curry broth. I actually ordered that and Marc ordered the Salmon, he took one bite of his Salmon and traded with me because he knew I would love it so much. He's a good guy! :lmao: Both will really good though!

Sigh. Words escape me as I dream of grapefruit cake and Cobb Salad while gazing at your photos. :cloud9:

Tell, Marc, to get a move on with writing down that recipe -- it looks delish, and I want to try it!!! :goodvibes

Hysterical 'Ode to the Salmon Polenta' list!!:lmao:

Blake and I make a similar BBQ Chicken, except we eat it on a roll, similar to Pulled Pork, but being a little healthier!
I would LOVE the polenta recipe though! Mmm...Brown Derby looks SO good!

I am all caught up on your tr. I am so excited that your mom is going with you. I would love to take my mom on a trip with me. She loves the thrill rides just as much as I do. I can't wait until you post the recipe for that polenta. It looks so yummy.

And thank you for the Firehouse pic! My dad had been to WDW the 1st year after it opened, but hadn't been again until the first time he took me in 1993. I remember that he had bought a Mickey Fire Company shirt from the Firehouse that year :goodvibes

I'm glad you liked my Ode to Salmon Polenta. I love BBQ Chicken, it's one of my favorites. I especially love having BBQ Chicken with Potato Salad in the summer. When Marc proposed to me, he took me on a picnic and that is what we had to eat. I just love it!

Hehehe. Marc's head is getting inflated with all of these comments. :rotfl2:

I'm really enjoying posting pictures, Lynn did it before her December trip and I loved how I got to see pictures every morning. :goodvibes

I am seriously giddy with excitement with the thought that in 35 short days I will be riding Soarin!

2867356287_bc67e2a41e.jpg

I'll be honest with you....those fastpasses above were the firstpasses I ever used! :scared1: I've known about them since they came out but I just never used them. I think it's a combination of crowds and waits not being very long and the fact that I don't like the big thrill rides so I never felt the need to use them. Well let me tell you something, I plan to get in as many rides as possible on Soarin with those fastpass tickets! ;)

I don't have any other pictures of Soarin' so you get random Epcot pictures!
