We really wanted to be at WDW during the least crowded part of the year(antisocials, I guess). Are they expecting big crowds during this weekend or what??

I would think so .

I was in New Orleans during the superbowl there a few years ago playing Paintball. And it was just crazy crowded compaired to the same times the year before and after.

I would think it's a great excuse for the dads to take family to WDW and get in the SB in return.

We were there last Feb 06 during SuperBowl weekend and it was in Tampa Bay which is closer then Miami and it was not crowded at all. We are even going the same week this year because of the low crowds last year! :thumbsup2

I agree, it is just a quess but I think the only massive crowd that you will see is at the ESPN Club Sunday afternoon. I know that we had Fantasmic dinner package reservations for that Sunday and I had to cancel them because the men said NO WAY. I then tried and very easily got reservations for Chef Mickeys for Super Bowl Sunday morning.

I could be wrong but I'm looking for there to be light crowds...

we were also there for super bowl 06 and it was not crowded at all. My father and DH stayed int he room to watch the game (while the kids slept) and my mother and I went to Downtown Disney shopping. It was a blast!

I was there with my sister and parents that weekend, too. We flew in on Superbowl Sunday with the intent to hit ESPN Club if the Pats were in it, or the parks if they weren't. Obviously they weren't (fingers crossed for this year) so we hit the parks. We got our room assignments at noon at Pop, were able to ride Everest with about a 1/2 hour wait (no FPs yet as the ride was still in soft opening), go back to Pop to change, and hit MK EMH with pretty much NO lines...I think we did Buzz 3 times in a row or something (had to get off and walk around, but didn't have to wait even a minute for a ride).

We were there for Super Bowl Sunday last year and there weren't any crowds. The only place that had lines that day was MK in Fantasyland. By lines, I mean we had to wait 10 minutes or so. But, I think Fantasyland is always busy b/c of the little kids & Sundays are a crowded day there anyway. My boys are now 5 & 11 and said they don't even want to go there this time (boo hoo...they are growing up!) so it isn't even on our schedule for next week.

We aren't football fans, so I didn't realize we would be there AGAIN for the Super Bowl. lol Oh well....I guess we won't be home when Ed comes knocking on our door. :rolleyes1

For those that like the parks empty I was in the MK yesterday and the place was deserted. 5 min standby posted for all the big attractions and most were walk on. Week of MLK holiday seems very slow. I'm here on business a few days before my family arrives but had a chance to sneak into the MK for a few hours after lunch and was shocked at how empty the place was.

I have been told by those "in the know" that Superbowl Sunday is one of the least crowded days of the year at WDW.

We were there in February '05, arriving on Superbowl Sunday. We stayed at the Poly. It seemed incredibly busy. I said something to the CM who checked us in and she said they were totally booked as were other resorts. She said it was because of the Super Bowl (in Jacksonville that year I think), the Daytona 500 (time trials maybe?) and Mardi Gras week, when a lot of schools in LA are off. The parks also seemed more crowded than they did the year before.

We will be at Animal Kingdon on SB Sunday!!!! We don't care if it's crowded we are just happy to be in sunny Florida and not frigid Iowa! Yeah stop by and say "Hi"
