I was wondering if there was anything going on SuperBowl Sunday at WDW? How are the crowds in the parks that day and night?

I have never been there then...but I heard that was the best day to go. I can't confirm this though.

We went to Epcot on Super Bowl Sunday about 5 years ago (was Saints and Colts I think). It was a good day, park was slow. There were a lot of Saints fans with jerseys on.

Same here Tigger 130!! We are planning on doing MK since there are EMH and I'm sure Monday will be a zoo at MK with the super bowl champs visiting. I was thinking maybe ESPN in DTD would have something going on? But not sure :(

EasyWDW has MK as not recommended on the day after the Super Bowl, but not because of the Super Bowl. It's because a lot of people travel over the weekend and want to do their first full day at MK (and that day is usually Monday) and also because Mondays often have longer hours, MSEP and Wishes.

It's also because the Super Bowl MVP LITERALLY goes to Disney World that day. I was there the year the Saints won and every bar/restaurant was packed with Saints fans. Cast members said MK was full of people wanting a glimpse of Brees.

We have been at WDW during Super Bowl weekend, and in that case I believe that the time of year (low season) had more to do with the park crowds than the Super Bowl. It was not busy.

I think the potential for increased crowds could be greater if the Super Bowl was being played nearby. Even so, we were there in 2007, when the big game was played in Miami.

So glad to hear it's going to be slow during Super Bowl weekend! Our first park day is that Saturday and we're heading to HS for Sunday morning and then, hopping to MK for EMH and the parade!
