It made total sense to me. But I had to watch the rest to see which way the "message" would go. It made me teary-eyed, in a good way.

I guess their original version showed the wall in the TV spot but Fox wouldn't let them air it because it was too controversial, so they made edits for TV and kept it in the full version on their website.

My friend just reminded me that the Coke commercial was from 2014. Oh well. Still relevant!

I knew I saw that one before on a Super Bowl a few years back. Guess they decided it was appropriate to re-air given current events. Great commercial!


When I was watching the 84 Lumber commercial as it aired I got annoyed that it just cut off in the middle and said to go to their site to see the rest because I thought it was a cheap trick to get website traffic, but I didn't know until I read it here that FOX wouldn't let them air the whole thing due to political controversy. That actually motivated me to go watch the rest because otherwise I would have just left it, LOL. Didn't think I was going to cry, but I lost it when the little girl took the *no spoilers* out of her backpack. Pretty heavy stuff.

In the air and missed most of the commercials. The 4th quarter was unreal!!! Wow!! Watched a few commercials online..bleh. So far, nothing to make me run out and buy a product.

I do not know anyone that drinks Bud Light let alone Budwiser or Busch. We have many local micro brews that put out some good stuff.

You don't know everyone. ;-) I like my A-B products. Thought the ad was stupid. I wanted horses not that.

My favorite ads were the Mercedes "Born to be Wild" and by far Hyundai's one at the end with the deployed troops. It was the best of the best. I was bawling like a baby. <3

Yes that the one reason why Anheuser-Busch InBev acquired Miller. Small microbrews and regional beers were eroding both of their market shares. Also the reason why they aren't buying 4 or 5 spots a year and creating story arcs.

I was only in it for the Nintendo ad, and even if it wasn't all that I was giddy watching it!

There wren't any that were real home runs this year. I was mostly excited by the promos for APB (tonight!).

Lady Gaga sings about love and acceptance. How is that political?

It's not. But Lady Gaga has been vocal about her political beliefs on social media, and many speculated she would use this platform as a way to make a statement. She didn't, and I commend her for keeping it separate.


Were there any commercials for Doritos or Mountain Dew? I feel like they always have humorous or memorable ones, and I don't recall even seeing them. Wasn't Mountain Dew last year the "puppy monkey baby" one with the dancing?

I was most pumped for the Stranger Things trailer! But Halloween?! So far away!

It made me teary eyed too . . . I found it sweet, sentimental, it made me reflect on how fortunate I was to be born in this country . . . I found many reasons to get teary eyed when watching the commercial.
