Super Soap Weekend Advice

Okay all you soap lovers, so how crowded is the park for the soap weekend,
More so than usual, I mean for the rides and everything I too like my soaps and were thinking about going down for vacation at this time 11/4 through 11/12 thinking it might be less crowded... Any suggestions??

Thanks
Adrienne :goofy: :stitch: :simba: :mickeyjum :donald:

MGM is the most crowded I've ever seen it during SSW, and I've been at many different times of the year. But, if you can stand the crowds the ride/attraction lines in MGM are basically non existant. Now some of the attractions are taken over by SSW and those are going to be long. Like Millionaire and the Motorcades. I've never been to the other parks on the days of SSW so I can't say how the crowd is there. But we have been on the days before and after SSW and have always felt the crowds were manageable, no real long lines. Hope this helps!
Can't wait for SSW!!!!

JENN,

Question for you.... How did you like SSR?? This will be our first time there and I would love some feedback

Thanks

Hi Adrienne,
We haven't actually stayed there yet. We just became DVC members this past November. August will be our first trip "home". Based on the pictures I've seen it seems to have the same layout as the Boardwalk Villas which I found very nice. OKW appears to be the only Vacation Club Resort with a different overall set-up. Have a great trip and I hope you really like SSR.

I was wondering if there was a certain time that was too late to go? Do they close the park down if it was too crowded? Since I'll be going with my kids, I don't think it will be possible to get there until 10 or 11. Will this be a problem? I won't need to get there early enough for autograph fastpasses, because I only plan on getting pictures of the stars near their autograph booths.

So, who's excited! They finally posted the list of stars on abc.com and I am sooo looking forward to it. This year is going to be a great one! But I say that every year. :)

Where is everyone staying? We'll be at BWV. Nice and close! Can't wait!!

Attending soap weekend is one of my MUST DO's, have a GREAT time

I can't wait! We're staying at the Beach Club so we can walk to MGM. Does anyone know anything about the Luke and Laura event on Friday? I originally wasn't planning on going to MGM that Friday but can't miss seeing the legendary duo!

All I have heard so far is that the Luke and Laura event is being held in MGM. I haven't heard the time or exact location or if tickets are needed. I hope to hear more soon.

Are you ready???? :Pinkbounc My daughter and I can't wait. Heading to F&W on Thurs., SSW on Fri.,Sat. and Sun. and MK on Monday. May be my daughters last long SSW with college looming so we are going to make the most of it.

Jenn you were such a big help when we were planning our first SSW last year--Thanks again. :)

My sister is still trying in vain to change her flight to an earlier one on Friday but they want to charge her $600+ so she will probably just leave things the way they are.

Any schedule of events yet???? Have fun :wave2:

Are the lines for rides terrible during this? or is everybody concentrating on the stars?

8 MORE DAYS!!!! Faith (Poohbear123) and I will be staying at the Dolphin!!!

TheWog: normally the ride lines are not bad - most people going for SSW are not interested in the rides. I remember one year asking Faith if MGM even had rides during SSW. lol

Cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, that's good to know. We were planning on doing MGM that Sunday and DS9 will have 0 interest in the Soap Stars. DW on the other hand who is not crazy about the rides, may join you in line. :smokin: :teeth:

Thanks again. 8 more days for us too! :Pinkbounc :wave2:

Less than a week for us :cool1: DD(17) is working on a spread sheet so we don't miss anything. Last year (our first time) we just winged it and laughed at everyone running around with their spread sheets. But, that will be us this year :thumbsup2 Last year they wound up opening some of the rides early not that I was to keen on riding ToT and R&R before breakfast but we did....
Oh and just to make sure everyone knows--Forbes is all ours :rolleyes1

Have fun :goodvibes

don't go!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's not worth it.........it's only T.V. actors. like try do anything hard LOL i heard its a mad house. so we will never goto WDW during this time. if you go plan on thanksgiving weekend shopping at the mall crowds. Enjoy it anywho LOL

The crowds will be large, but they will be focused on SSW events. Waits for non-SSW attractions (Tower of Terror, etc) will be about normal, if not less than normal.

Actually, what you said was: "This Park has rides?" :lmao: Yes, and I will be riding ToT on Friday! Most likely by myself, as MS is NOT a fan of ToT....found that out the HARD way! :confused3  :rotfl2:

I can't wait! Unfortunately, my flight is on Friday afternoon so I will miss the Luke & Laura event. But we might do F&W Friday night and SSW Saturday and Sunday. Then MK Monday & Tuesday. We leave early Wednesday morning. It will be a great trip. Have you seen the schedule yet? It is packed! We are very excited!! :thumbsup2
