Super Shuttle/DLR Express/Rental Car

We are taking our first trip to DLR June 8-13. We will arriving @ LAX around noon on Sun 6-8. There will be 6 of us - 5 adults & an 11 yr old. We need to get to the DLH. I am looking for suggestions on transportation options. Which would be a better fit for us - Supper Shuttle, DLR Express or renting a car? We may want to drive to San Diego or up the Pacific coast for the day. We will need to get back to LAX for a 3:00 flight on Fri 6-13.

I would not rent a car if you are just going to DL, but if you are going to SD then you probably need one. With 6 people you are going to need to rent a mini van or large SUV and those can get quite pricey. If it was me, I would take a shuttle or taxi to DL, and you are staying on-site so you can just walk to DL each day. You can check the prices for shuttles online to see what will work best for you. If you are going to San Diego for a day, then maybe just rent a car that day?
