Have you ever been so tired you could fall down? My dd has been sick since Mon. with a spiking temp. and a horrible cough that keeps her up all night. She's missed school all week. We've spent the last several nights either in the bathroom with the steam on or the front step to help curb the coughing. She's been to the Dr's and they said....just ride it out. That's not what I wanted to hear.
I've been so bad eating. I 've been going for the quick, bad for you foods, but there hasn't been time to cook, sleep, etc. So I figured bad food is better than no food. (I did start out with all good foods, but they ran out and I can't take her out, so I've got to deal with what I've got here)
Well, thanks for letting me sing the single mom's blues. A week of very little sleep is making me punchy. So please send some pixie dust to my sick dd , so we both can sleep.
Oh yeah, I'm passing on the weekly check in for WISH and the Halloween challenge. Hopefully I'll be eating better next week and be able to exercise then too and then I'll be able to participate more.
Good Health to you all!:wave2:

{{{{HUGS}}}} for you twotoo!

Now listen here, you take care of yourself so that you can take care of your precious one and nurse her back to health!

Family first, do the best you can do and rest when you can! doctor's orders! Then when things are back to normal, whatever normal is ;) you'll get back in the groove of your healthy eating plan. Maybe you could ask a friend to pick up some groceries for you? I know I'd be more than happy to do that for a friend!

Take your DD to bed and snuggle with her and get some rest!

{{{{HUGS}}}} twotoohappy! First off - don't beat yourself up about your food choices this week. As a single mom with a sick child you are lucky to find time to eat at all! Don't worry - when she's feeling better you can get right back on your plan! In the meantime get as much rest as you can and I'm sending lots of PD for you and your daughter. Hope she's feeling better very soon!:goodvibes

{{ Hugs }} to you!! You're doing the best you can and that's all anyone could hope to do. You'll get back in the groove of your eating plan when DD is better and you've gotten some rest.

Pixie dust is on it's way for both DD and you!!

Warm {{{hug}}} to you and your dd!! Its awful when our children are sick!!! Be sure to take care of the both of you! :worried:

{{{{hugs}}}} to you twotoohappy. Don't stress too much about you are eating, you're doing the best that you can do for yourself and your DD. The most important thing is that you take care of yourself and your DD, so that you will both be up and running soon. Sending loads of PD your way :wizard:. Hopefully you will be able to get some sleep and both of you will be feeling better soon.

Oh, sweetie. The most important thing right now is to take care of you and that lovely child of yours. It's hard, so don't go beating yourself on the head because of the food thing. Get your rest and drink your water. (((((HUGS)))))

Hugs to you!! It is definitely no fun when our children are sick!:( I know how you feel, my dd has asthma and chronic reflux and she is sick many, many times a year and the best advice I get is, "Take care of yourself as well"..Seriously, do take some time for yourself or you wear your body out...Hugs and I hope she feels better soon and you can get some rest!!

{{HUGS}} to the both of you! I know how you feel with the sickness. I have been sick all week (too long to go in to) and my ds was up all last night getting sick, damn I just can't stand this time of year.

I will be rooting for you! Oh and YES some food is better than no food at all when it comes to taking care of your child.

I know you will have a better week this week!

I'm so sorry that your daughter has been so ill. I wish I lived nearby, I would come over and watch your daughter so that you could sleep a few hours. I would love to do that, I love kids and I have to borrow grandkids, you know. Kind of sad, huh?

Don't worry about your diet right now. Get your daughter well and get rested. Then you can get right back on track and headed to goal again.

I just wish that there was something to do to help you. I remember those sleepless nights. I wasn't a single parent but I might as well have been

Thanks so much to everyone for all the support! It felt so good to have so many people care about us. WISHers are special people for sure!
Good news, the fever broke (finally after 8 days), so now I'm just dealing with the croupe. It wakes her up all night, but last night we both slept for 3 solid hours. It was so nice, compared to the 15 - 20 min naps all night.
So hopefully, it will be a steady recovery and a good night's sleep soon.

and nativetxn, if you ever want to visit Cape Cod, MA...the door is always open, my daughter would love an extra Grandma to visit!

Thanks again for all your kindness everyone you have brightened my day!

I will have to plan a trip to Cape Cod.

Your WISH support group is always here for you, cutie. Never forget that. We're always here when you need us :)
