Super Goofs Team 4 bios/intros

Good morning team. Only a few more days to the start of the game. We now have a spreadsheet that I will have to update every day. It will have to be done in the mornings as I am not on frequently in the evenings. Weekends I will have to wing as I never know what is happening day to day sometimes.

If you are going to post your miles/hours daily, if you could do it by evening, it would be helpful for me in the morning. If you are going to post weekly, please let me know that and which day you expect to be posting as that will help me also.

You all have been so great introducing yourselves, designing artwork and just being supportive in general. I apparently p'd off some people on the other thread with a simple suggestion that I made so I am going to be kind of MIA for awhile until things quiet down. Trust that I am here, albeit behind the scenes and always in support of the team!!! See you all Friday on the new challenge post!!!!

Lisa, My goal is to post daily.....but, occassionally when I can't go on the computer I will catch it up the next day. We will just be keeping a running total, correct?

The team looks good, and I am ready to kick a little 'boota!

Beth

I am going to be honest with you...sometimes it may be daily, sometimes it may be weekly. It will all depend on what is going on in my life at the time. I will try my best to do it daily but there are going to be days where I work out that I don't get on that night to post my workout, and may not get on for a couple of days. Hopefully that won't be a problem. Didn't think this whole thing was going to be so complicated!

I will be working out, it is the posting right away that may be the issue. I will try my best though.

Sorry all, better late than never…

My name is Angie. I am 38 and I live in a very small town in NH (pop approx 900). The joke is that it says “Welcome to Hill” on both sides of the sign (and that’s not far from the truth!) I am a Production Control Specialist. I am also a leader for our Girl Scout Cadette troop. I am involved in fundraising activities like Making Strides and the Penguin Plunge, and I drag my family into it too! I have two kids, DS17, who is now driving and working and very very tall, and DD13, who is into softball, field hockey, Girl Scouts, and works as a CIT for summer camp. I signed up for the Half in 2008 so I would have a goal to aim for, and an excuse to get back to Disney. I am currently training for the Loco Half at the Hamptons in February and the Minnie 15K in May. My goal this year is to do a race a month. I started running, well, I started walking, because I wanted to lose some weight, and found a walking club that I used for motivation. The club didn’t last, but I’m still going! I am working at doing more running and less walking, and trying to get faster. Probably too much info, but there you go! I’m really looking forward to getting to know you all better! Go team go!

Yay, Angie came to play with us!!! We also have a new member. Welcome to KiMickey. Come on in and introduce yourself!!

hmmm, tell me again how to get Super Goofs Team 4 clippie into my signature (you all figured it out, someone help me????)

Highlight and control C the below address. Go into your edit signature and where you want it in your siggy line do control V. Before the http: put

It took me a few tries Angie. I have not been a big DISer in a long time but Carrie (wtp errrr I can't remember the rest of her initials on this site!!!) is a friend of mine from other boards and she told me about the challange. We have met a couple of times and she and her hubby are great people. Of course, we have to squish her team like bugs! :goodvibes But I have seen A Bugs Life - those bugs are pretty amazing!

My sons are in Cub Scouts. Ok - well, the older one is and the younger one can be a Tiger next year. Somehow (yeah - I never quite know how these things happen), I am the Den Leader and Committee Chair for our pack along with the Finance person for the district. So I definately fit in the Super Goofs!!! Angie - I think it is great that your daughter is still in scouting and you are active as well!

I am ready for the competition to begin!!!

Just keep walking....just keep walking....just keep walking...walking...walking

The countdown is on team.....I am 'saving' my long run for the weekend b/c of the challenge. Taking one for the team!!!

Beth

I like that! Taking one for the team!! HOpe the LR goes well this weekend! I will be heading out for a 10 miler myself!

Thanks Hockeygirl!!! J/K about the 'sacrifice' of waiting.....:rotfl: :rotfl: I might even be able to fit it in on Friday, the first day of the challenge!!!

To bad last week didn't count.....I actually got 27.5 miles in!

Beth

Woah! In with some serious exercisers here. I will have to work to do my share. :) Good goals for me!

Hello fellow Goofers!

I just want to pop in and say hello and give an informal hello to everyone :) I was added to the team this morning. If it's okay I will edit this post in about two hours after I get my two children in the bed, get ready for work, do my homework and study. I will post my bio afterwards :) BRB - soon - I promise ;)

:scared1: Not me. January is pretty much a bust after Goofy was over.

Hi Kimickey! WAHH I want to do expedition Everest!!! You have to promise to write enormous details about it filled with every detail.

Cecilia

I wish we had started last week. I did my LR of 7 miles last week. This week is only 3. Bummer. But as I have said in other posts, we do what we do. I am just hoping that this competition encourages all of us to get into more of a routine where we feel that we DO have time to get our exercise in not that we have to MAKE time to fit it in. I know that I feel that way a lot but, after training for the half, I now feel like I have to exercise and if I do not exercise, I get pretty unbearable to live with.

Welcome to KiMickey and, I think we have picked up another member to the team, Groovygirls. I guess she got displaced from another team to ours so we should all give her the warm fuzzy feeling of WISH!!!!

Good Morning Everyone! During the night I was moved to your team so here I am

I'm Joanne and I deleted my earlier post on a different team. Since I am now a part of this one, I'll reintroduce myself. I live in a very rural community in NH- one traffic light. I run mostly on dirt roads and have the most amazing routes to run on. My running partner is Bella Buttercup- my two year old golden retriever. She is the reason I can get up the motivation to run when it is far too easy to think of a million other things I could be doing! She was awarded my champion medal (the one I received when I finished the disney half this year- my first- yeah me!) I put it on her collar and she is so proud of herself!

I have a very supportive family. I have been married for 14 years to a great guy. We have two beautiful and smart girls. Groovy girl#2 is 8 and groovy girl #3 is 5. Gang of Groovy Girls is our geocaching name- I had to promise the gang to never ever take them on a geocaching adventure after we had a nightmare experience on Mount Monnadnook (in Vt). Story for another day.

I am mostly a stay at home mom. I work part time as a Family nurse practitioner in a free STD/HIV clinic and weekends in a maximum security mens prison. My DH is not too thrilled with it but I love my jobs. My jobs and my family are the yings and yangs and I couldn't imagine doing anything different.

In addition to running I also do eventing (horses). I am fortunate to be able to lease the most amazing horse and I totally love him to death. I ride four days a week and running has so helped my riding ability. I have the strength, endurance and courage to ride what I had always been afraid of. My new mantra when tackling a tough jump course is "I am fierce, I am fierce". I know it seems to some that riding is easy since all the horse does all the work but trust me- it's brutal. Especially when your instructor insists you do no stirrup work- one is sore for days.

I am a spin class junky. I don't count spin as a work out because it is so much fun...oh did I mention that I'm wacked!!

My personal goal for this year is to step out of my comfort zone and meet new people. I am so glad to be part WISH and a part of this team.

I am signed up for Goofy 2009. Can someone/anyone talk me out of the MCM this year? Please...

Have fun everyone!

Hi Joanne and welcome to the team. Don't go on the Philly thread if you want to be talked out of MCM. No one here is going to do it...we want your miles baby.

I too live in a little town (mine is bigger than Angie's though) and we have one stoplight which we just acquired about 8 years ago. LOL. I do, however, have paved roads (mostly) to run on. So, now we have 3 from NH, me from ME, NY, CO, PA, maybe we should have been the Snow Bunnies, lol. Not that you sun goddesses/gods would have liked that one.

Tomorrow is the big day so I hope everyone is ready!!!! :cool1:

Whaaat? You mean Kristi and Chad are not 1 person...okay, doy, 4 people from NH. You caught me!!! ;)
