Just an FYI: I will be distracted from this thread for the next month or so due to a parents illness and the June 29 Fantasy sailing. I will check back with you all in late July.
Pete

Take care of you and yours! Have a great cruise. See ya in July.

Joining the thread! We won't be doing the FE but would love to meet up with some folks. We are Michele, Scott, Grace (DD turning 9 on the cruise) and Allie (DD who will be 6 on the cruise). This will be our first time on the Fantasy. We were on the Wonder for Easter break this year, and were on the Magic in February 2012. We're cruising with non-DISer friends, but they are DCL vets as well. Maybe I'll get them to join the DIS prior to the cruise :)

Has anyone bought their airfare yet? Holy smokes, it's running about $900 from Detroit to Orlando for that week. And I don't think the schedules have been out very long? I think we'll fly into Melbourne this time around or use miles.

And I'd love to join the FB group too!

Just found this link..but i made reservations opening morning...sailing Concierge 1br on this one with Wife, and kids..ava - 9 at sailing time and Zack - 5 at sailing
this is our 2nd Fantasy cruise..we were on the maiden voyage..and we did the wonder in 2008.

very excited to spend easter on the ship!!!

would love to be a part of FE!

We'll be CL too with my 6 year old & 9 year old daughters -- they will be happy to see other kids their age in the lounge!

Just got an e-mail back from a contact at DCL! Confirmed that we can set up the private mixology for our cruise! But we have to wait until 30 or so days prior to the sail date. So I guess I will put this on the back burner and re-address it when we get closer. It would be a minimum of 25 people/max of 40 costing $15 per adult (subject to change without notice). Bump up the excitement another notch!

Would be interested in this! Thank you!

pixiedust:Welcome!

We are coming from NC, so we will be driving, but understand about the airfares. DH and I are also booked on the Oct 4 sailing out of San Juan, although the fares aren't out yet, I have been roughly checking and they are high. I don't know if Southwest is an option, but I am signed up for their emails and have seen some really good rates lately. It may worth signing up for.

Thanks for the welcome, and thanks Joe for adding me to the FB group.

Thanks for the SW tip, I will have to keep my eyes open. SW has limited flights out of Detroit and nothing direct. AirTran used to have direct flights but now that they've been taken over by SW those direct flights are gone. I'd probably do the one stop layover on Delta to Melbourne. Going to meet up with my friend tomorrow and talk about some options if we travel on the same days. Last Easter break we flew into Miami and I booked early enough that the fares weren't too bad.

A Konk Kooler will make it all worthwhile! :thumbsup2

We are sailing concierge for the first time and looking forward to it! It will be me, DH and DS11. :goodvibes

Count us in for the FE group!!! Also for the mixology class we had a ball wen we did that this past cruise!! 10 months from yesterday!!!! Can not wait!!!!

Please add us to the group
Cher, Doug & Doug (12 at time of cruise).
We just got off the Father's Day Eastern Fantasy and just had to book another. Looking forward to getting to know everyone over the next 10 months.

Hi everyone! Joining in on the fun :yay:

We were originally booked for May 2014, but decided not to pull the kids out of school after the experience we had with our vacation this year (my son's work load was unbelievable during & after the trip). I'm glad we took care of it last week since the prices have gone up again!

Anyway, it will be me, DH, DS & DD (10yo & 8yo at time of sailing). My DH and I have only cruised on Royal Caribbean and have never brought our kids before. We have been to St. Thomas & St. Maarten once and can't wait to go back!

I joined the Facebook group and would like to participate in the FE too.

We will be celebrating DD's 16th birthday on this cruise, will anyone else be celebrating a birthday or anniversary?

So as I sit here in my cottage, on the last night of my Virginia vacation, and I am sad to see it over. I can only imagine how I am going to feel on the last night of my first cruise...

I will be celebrating the big "5 0" on the cruise, even though my birthday is April 28th!!! I'll just make believe it is during the week we're on the ship. Hey Disney is all about dreams and magic, right??!!

We know how you feel! Driving away from the ship is depressing. It really hits you when you have to take off your lanyard, because the ship card does not work in the real world. Then you have to pay for lunch....
