Super early easter april 19, 2014 fantasy cruise!

Hi Everyone, Happy New Year! This is my very first post, so please bear with my inexperience, but we would love to join the DIS group on the upcoming Easter 2014 Fantasy cruise. My name is Amannda and my son Jake is 13 y.o. We just returned from WDW yesterday, and are missing it already. So as we prepare for a big winter storm here, I'm reading trip reports and counting down the days til our cruise!! This will be my 4th Disney Cruise and Jake's 3rd. We were on the Wonder for 5 nts out of Miami for our April School Vacation. We both had such a great time that we rebooked onboard for this year's Spoil Vacation! I would love to join the Mixology class and the FE if it's not too late. I don't think I can receive private messages yet, so any tips on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to the cruise and meeting everyone!!

Doug & I are in for the Mixology class. I told you on FB but thought I would go ahead and do here as well.

As for bartenders my all time favorite is Billie from England. I know she won't be on our cruise unless her plans have changed since last June but guess it wouldn't hurt to ask. She was so fun and had an amazing personality. We hung with her each night at Ooh La La and we even created a new drink that wasn't on the menu, Tinkerbell. It was the Elderbubble with some Midori to make it green and twinkle like Tinkerbell.

Are we having a DIS Meet on our arrival day? I saw a post about the pre cruise meets at the hotels but we won't be able to do that but would love to meet with everyone once we are on the boat. Last year we were such a large group they had it in DLounge. Not sure how to get that arranged but I have a feeling we could easily fill it.

It has not been arranged yet, but I for one plan on us having one. If anyone has any suggestions for locations, put it out there and we will see what a good time for everyone is also.

Great!!! Cruises are always so much more fun when you recognize so many fellow DISers after the first day. Especially helpful for the kiddos to meet others before taking off to the kids clubs as well.

Let's get this party started

I am working on getting a private mixology class set up for our cruise. My plan is to request either Monday or Thursday...both sea days. The price quoted to me when I originally contacted them was $15 per person subject to change. (I believe it may be up to $20 by the time we cruise.) If you are interesed in joining, please message me with your screen name, full names and cabin number. I will only post below your screen name and number of spots you are requesting.

**Please note that I will confirm with you just prior to submitting the document to DCL. Once it is submitted, your stateroom will be charged if you make it to the class or not. Their rules, not mine.

Also, does anyone have a favorite bartender that they would like me to request. I have heard a lot of great things about Damien. Any ideas on this or should I leave it to fate...lol

It is a 25 person minimum/40 person maximum. Basically, if we get more than 40, we will have to get to 50 if we want to split the class.

PIF earlier in the week. I made our reservations for Remy and Palo and did the online check-in. It feels like the cruiser is finally getting close!

I'm leaning on doing the FE… just have to figure good gifts that are small and lightweight as we are hoping to do the trip with just carry-ons.

I hope that everyone's holidays went well! We had a lovely albeit very cold Christmas and New Years in IL. I so can't wait to feel the warmth of the FL / Caribbean sun on my face! I am still working on opening the FE list. Total user error on my part. I'll figure it out until I do though anyone else traveling with toddlers? We have a boy who will be 2 1/2 at sail time. Our dd will be 16 and is so excited to meet and make new friends. I'm sure we won't be the only ones traveling with toddlers but it would be fun to have a group to know before hand too. Looking forward to hearing from yas!

We would love to meet up too! Plan on getting to PC at around 1:30/2 pm. We were going to go earlier but corralling a 2 year old and waiting to board might be tuff, although it will be around nap time. Yeah, we can plan it but usually when you plan for the usual it's the unusual that happens

That's great! We can check out the nursery and Nemo's area for the kiddos. I'm trying to work out some family activities that we can all go to at night although I'm pretty sure my DD16 will be on her own. DH and I talked last night and we are going to talk to her about babysitting at least one or two nights. Probably DH's b-day night and that Thursday night at least for a couple of hours.

Yahoo so officially PIF! We can start check in on January 19th and it can't come fast enough! We will be 90 days out then! Yahoo! Also was finally able to open the FE list! Cant wait to brainstorm with the family on what we will be bringing. We still have things that we have received on past cruises It is great to have the FE list as a guide. Love that there is another little boy the same age and name as our son, kdtwin I believe it's you!

Hope everyone is keeping warm! It's snowing sideways in IL and freezing! I will be spending nap time today trying to think about FE gifts

Whoohooo! We are paid in full, checked in and booked our excursion. We are doing the Caribbean Sea Safari, Snorkel and Beach excursion in St Thomas. The excitement is building!!! Can't wait!

Most definitely! She is thrilled. I'm also going to see if I can get her a spa massage. I am going to check that out this evening to see what their teen spa has to offer
