Welcome to the cruise thread! Your information has been added to the roll call on page 1. I am sure twokats will pick up your FE information shortly. If you would like the adult names listed you can PM me that information and I can add it at any time. Please also note the facebook page which is linked at the bottom of the roll call.

First big snowfall of the season...winter storm Electra has dropped 14 inches and counting so far! Anyone get more than that????

Our cutoff date will probably be at least one month before we sail, I think around March 10.

It will depend on how much more the list grows before we know if we will split or not. If we do split, participants can decide whether to go with a small list or with the whole list.

I think I have taken care of everyone that has contacted me. Let me know if you still need help with the list.

Kathy - just sent you an email about access to the file. We still haven't decided if we'll do the FE yet - I know DD wants to do it but we'll be limited in luggage space having a whirlwind NY/DC trip right after. For that reason, we'd prefer splitting into smaller groups (10-15 families).

I was looking at my reservation and noticed that reservations open in a little over two weeks for gold CC members. I guess I need to actually pay for the cruise now. This will be our first time on the new ships, so we were wondering if it's worth it to try Remys? Or should we just stick to Palo?

Well, our party of 4 is down to a party of 3. My Daughters best friend has enrolled in school and will be unable to go. A little bummed for my Daughter not to have her bestie with her on her 21st but she will still have a wonderful time.

Hi! So happy to see so many people on this thread! This is our second Disney cruise and like all of you we are super excited. We are the DeLucas from Rhode Island: I am Julie, my DH Matt, DD Gia (7) and DD Sophia (4). Looking forward to hopefully joining the FE... So much fun the last time we did it!! Hope Santa was good to everyone and a happy and safe new year to all

Our Cruise is booked went and bought some FE deals on the day after Christmas sales today. Our party consists of DW Alycia DD Paige 9 DS Austin 5 and myself Mike We are from Albuquerque New Mexico this is our 7th cruise DVC 2008
Can't wait to meet everyone.

The Fish Extender (FE) is basically a On board gift exchange between those who participate. Kathy (twokats) is organizing the list of people who wish to participate. The list will contain the stateroom numbers and the ages of all the kids and some adults that wish to disclose their age. Basically you furnish a gift for everyone on the list and bring it with you on the cruise. There are a ton of ideas on the internet just google FE gifts and there will be all the information that you will ever need. In the past I have received just a gift for the whole state room and we have received individual gifts. The more unique the better. After you embark you and get to your state room you hang your fish extender on your fish or seahorse outside your state room and then the fun begins. My kids have a ball delivering the gifts and try not to get caught. If you do not have a fish extender and do not wish to make one you can buy them on the internet at various places like etsy and pinterest. If you have any further questions PM me and I will give you my phone number and I would be happy to talk to you about it.

As an extra answer to the FE questions, I am giving a list of quite a few threads I have collected over the year which I have found answer quite a few questions and give a LOT of information. But feel free to question any of us and I am sure someone will have an answer.



It is totally up to you how the gifts are done. Some do a stateroom gift, others do something for the kids in the room along with something special for the adults - the only limit is your budget. Please don't worry if it is not much. I have received many different things from bookmarks, magnets, themed cups and coseys (those things that can go around a canned drink) and little bags of various candies. I have also received things that people have done that were state specific and also country (some past cruises have included new friends from Canada).

I have found a lot of threads on the DIS that give great ideas for the FE and gifts plus magnets.
These are the ones I follow and believe me there is a lot of great pictures and information. Be prepared to spend a lot of time on these.
