Super Bowl Sunday (Feb. 1, 09). Busy or Not Busy?

I couldn't care less about the Super Bowl. Would DLR see lower crowds on Super Sunday (February 1st)?

How about as the afternoon progresses...would the parks clear out as folks leave to watch the late afternoon/evening game?? Coincidentally that weekend kind of "works" for me for a visit to SoCal....even more so if the parks might be empty.

I noticed that the AP rates seem to be available for that weekend as well.

(I love College & HS Football but haven't watched a pro game since my Oilers left in the early 90s.)

There are plenty of men who don't care for football!! I don't think it is packed, but it is busy on Superbowl Sunday.

We were there in 06 for Super Bowl Sunday. The place was packed.

I was there a couple of years ago for Super Bowl Sunday also and the place was packed! I thought for sure everyone would say home and I'd have the park to myself! No such luck!

Thanks for all the info....especially the comments from folks who experienced the large crowds on super sunday.

I was hoping to slide in on a less crowded Sunday, but like others mentioned, it sounds like non-NFL fans are probably big DL fans.

We went Superbowl 2007 and I found it not bad at all. I know you Hound from reading all your post that you like to get to the park early. We found the park pretty dead in the morning and sure it got busy in the afternoon but I wouldn't say that it was even summer crowd busy. I guess it all depends on what teams are playing and where as well. Besides how can you be in SoCal and not go to DL.
