Ok, who's having it and when do you want me to show up? This year I'm not throwing one. I'm going to grab a bag of chips, some dip, a cold drink and just watch the game. Anyone plan on having a party? What's the menu?

You're welcome to come to our party in Colorado. We're not cheering for any particular team since the Broncos are out of it - but you DO have to be quiet for the commercials!!

Menu - Spaghetti Pie, Pizza, Caesar Salad, Italian Bread, plus lots of appetizers. It's a BYOB, so bring what you like.

Plus, the best thing of all . . . my friend Bobbie's Apple Pie, which is the absolute best in the world. She is a LEGEND here; it is SO good. Think better than any pie you have ever had!!

We always stay home. DH is a Jets fan. OK, we know they suck and we don't care who wins this particular game, BUT, football is serious business, and parties are social events. For me, the commercials are the best part.

Seriously, Superbowl Sunday is one of the more difficult days in our house. It is typically a very bad day for hospital based OB/GYNs (like DW). First you have the domestic battery problem (NOT exagerated). But the bigger problems is that women who go into labor or have other compications on that day often don't come in before or during the game for various reasons (sadly, most of the time the husband refused to bring them in). When they do arive, their issues are often worse because they waited. New Years, 4th of July, Superbowl Sunday - all bad days on the labor deck.
