Super Bowl Party Recipe's.....

you can make these up ahead of time, i got this recipe from paula dean so you know it's good!!!!
-a loaf of white bread
-shredded parmesian cheese(a bag)
-1 c of mayo
-regular mustard
-1 onion

cut your bread out with a seasoning top works perfectly, i usually get 2 rounds out of 1 piece.
-spread mustard on top
-you can dice your onion, put like 3/4 pieces of onion on top
in a seperate bowl mix your mayo, cheese, and i use garlic powder, onion powder, s & p, dill, tony's
-put a spoonful on top of the onion
-put in oven on broil for 5 mins or until cheese melts, the bread will toast and these are a hit and they make a lot.

Appetizer:

Hot Dogs
Bacon
Brown Sugar
Worchestershire Sauce

Cut each hot dog into 4 pieces. Cut each slice of bacon into 3 pieces. Wrap a piece of bacon around the piece of hotdog and stick a toothpick through it. Coat in brown sugar and put in baking dish. After all hotdogs/bacon are in the dish, sprinkle worchestershire sauce over the top and bake in the oven for about 30 minutes at 350 degrees (or until bacon is cooked). Yummy!!

You all have such great ideas! I would not show this thread to the guests, they would like to try it all.:rotfl2:

I'm making baked chicken wings and pulled pork sliders for our very small group.

I may have to give the sausages with the grape jelly a try before hand. I have heard it is so good. Thanks for reminding me of that.

We do frozen meatballs instead of sausages, and also mix the grape jelly and chili sauce in the crockpot. Looks and sounds gross, until the jelly and chili sause mix, then it is sooo good. We let it cook on low for like 7 hours in there.

Meat Candy (lil Smokies wrapped in bacon and coated in brown sugar. Unbelievably good!) I make them the night before, bake the next day and keep warm in a crockpot.

Jalapeno poppers

Taco Dip

Sausage Dip - 1 # Jimmy Dean sausage (the bulk pack), browned and drained. Mix with 1 pkg cream cheese and 1 can Rotel (drained). Heat through and stir. Serve with tortilla chips or crackers.

Rollups:

1.5 blocks cream cheese
12 oz sour cream
1 packet HVR dressing mix
1 bunch broccoli
1/2 c shredded carrots
1 pkg whole wheat tortillas

Mix all together, spread on tortillas

Crock-pot Ruben Dip
8 oz. deli corned beef, coarsely chopped (I use 4 packages of corned beef lunchmeat - like Buddig or a generic store brand)
1 cup sauerkraut, well drained
1 (8-oz. pkg) cream cheese, softened
2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
½ cup thousand island salad dressing

Put all ingredients in crock pot. Cover crock pot and heat on high until all ingredients are melted. Stir to mix all ingredients together.

Serve with party rye or pumpernickel bread slices, crackers, or french bread cubes.

This are two of my favorite dips for parties...

HOT MEXICAN BEAN DIP

1 can refried beans (can be "fat free" as it doesn't matter to the taste)
1 8oz package cream cheese (can be the 1/3 less fat type, Neufchatel)
1 8oz cup of sour cream (can be "light")
1 pkg taco seasoning mix (I like "Taco Bell" brand, but Ortega is good as well)
1 bunch of scallions, cut into 1/8 to 1/4" slices
8 oz of Cheddar Jack shredded cheese
1 tsp crushed red pepper
15 drops tabasco sauce (or "Franks Red Hot")

Mix beans, cream cheese, sour cream, and taco seasoning with mixer on low until blended. Fold in scallions. Mix in hot sauce and crushed red pepper. Layer bean/cheese mixture into an oven-proof casserole dish as such: 1/2 mixture, 4 oz shredded cheese, another layer of mixture, top with 4 oz cheese. Bake uncovered at 350' for 35-40 mins until hot and bubbly. Serve with Fritos scoops, or tortilla chips (can be the baked type).

BETTER SPINACH DIP

1 10oz pkg frozen chopped spinach
1 cup sour cream (can be "light")
1 8 oz pkg cream cheese (can be neufchatel)
1 pkg Hidden Valley Ranch salad dressing mix
1 lb pumpernickel or rye round bread

Cook spinach according to directions (I microwave it), then drain VERY WELL by pressing spinach in a colander. Cool spinach. Mix sour cream, cream cheese, and ranch dressing mix until blended - fold in cooled spinach. Allow dip to chill in refrigerator for a few hours to blend flavors. Hollow out middle of round bread and spoon dip into the middle before serving. Serve with fresh veggies, Trisket crackers (or whatever you like) and the pieces of bread for dipping.

When I bring either dip to parties or make it for my own get-together, there is never any left over. ENJOY !

Also~ re: the grape jelly crock pot idea = I use grape jelly, Heinz chilli sauce, and kielbasa slices (Polish sausage, usually Hillshire Farm brand). It sounds weird but is VERY good, and not too sweet at all.

And I wrap Hillshire Farm Lil' Smokies with triangles cut from crescent roll dough for "pigs in blankets". Serve with spicy mustard (Boar's Head makes a good one) for dipping. I cannot make enough of these. I also bring these to school when the kids are have a party of some kind.

We have a Super Bowl party every year. We do: fried chicken, a spiral ham, chili(but this year might switch it out this year for a taco bar), a salad, and then either Mac n cheese or penne & vodka sauce . I do pigs n a blanket, taco dip, chips, veggie platter, buffalo chicken bites & mini pizzas for apps. For dessert: a cake, Super Bowl cookies, & I set up the chocolate fountain.
